Parking lot has very narrow spaces, and the walls and floors in the rooms are thin. You will hear people walking above you. Overall though it is super close to walk to Front beach or Bearskin Neck. Location is very good.

Very cute motel close to all of the shops and restaurants. Very kind host and easy check in process. Our room was really small, but we were only there for a night so no big deal. Odd smell from the bathroom, but again, we shut the door and we’re only there one night so it was not too bad. Very clean property and perfect for a one night stay passing through Rockport.

This was a quick stay in Rockport on a Sunday night in September. What I love about this place is the location while it’s not on the water it’s just a quick little walk from the beach, stores, and restruants. The office is not open 24 hours so you have to make sure you ask you’re question when you check in. I tried to check in early and no one was there. The rooms are clean very updated so no worries there. There is a sweet little patio area that has the coffee in the morning so that food. We ended up making it with timer because we needed it early. In all we would stay again no problem.

thanks for the nice review. We are just a small mom and pop business so the office is not always staffed. But my my office phone forwards to my cell and guests are welcome to call if no one is in the office.

Place was very nice & conveniently located but the room was TINY for the price. Even with just the two f us it was tight. This room should be reserved for a single traveler and ALOT less expensive it was literally 10x10

thanks for the review. I have a few tiny rooms, but that is part of the charm of old downtown Rockport Inns. My tiny rooms are just as nice as my bigger rooms. Many guests prefer them over the bigger rooms because they are more private. I usually offer to upgrade guests to larger rooms if they are available.

The establishment was very clean and the staff was very nice! The best part was the it was so convenient that you could just park your car there and everything was within walking distance.

We were able to walk to everything we needed. There were a few affordable places to eat if you preferred to not pay $30 for a meal or $5 for coffee. Th beach was perfect! The view of the harbor amazing. We especially liked having our own outside seating so we could have happy hour and a take out meal if we preferred. The room was very clean and comfortable, the staff courteous. We loved Rockport and will be sure to return to the Eagle House.

It was lovely for the price. We utilized the optional cot, it was inneed of being replaced, that being said everything else was absolutely perfect, they even accomodated a spontaneous early checkin.

Very comfortable bed but room a little small. Top of fridge dusty. Toilet paper stand cumbersome. Should have it built into the wall. Very friendly staff. Parking could be better. Get there early.

Thanks for the review. Some of the bathrooms are newly updated but still are very small. I opted to have a movable floor stand for the toilet paper. I will definitely consider a wall mount tp holder down the road. Parking is always a challenge in the summer. I have 14 rooms and 14 spots to park with two of the spots being extremely tight. There are many times when 1 or 2 guests park on the street

Loved the location. Very relaxed and clean. We spend very little time in our room so we don’t mind cozy and enjoyed the outside balcony. Parking can be tight at night when all guests are back at once.

Frustration at Eagle House Motel, Rockport
We arrived at 4.55pm last Wednesday after a long 3-hour journey from the White Mountains to Rockport with my elderly mother to find we could not access our room (despite being able to book in on the Wednesday as stated on confirmation email) as the office was locked and unmanned. The contact phone number given on the office window just rang the office phone that we could hear ringing - even another guest tried to make contact with Gary to no avail. In desperate need of some facilities after the long drive, we left a note explaining that we were going to a local restaurant for some food & facilities and requested that Gary ring us there when he arrived back. On phoning the office again an hour later, Gary answered, having read our note but ignoring our request for him to call us at the restaurant. At no point was any apology given and little attempt at any conversation. To say we were frustrated and annoyed would be an understatement. There was, however, no delay in taking our payment!

Thanks for the feedback. The eagle house is a small motel and as such I do not have someone in the office at all times. I am always nearby and just a phone call away. In this case I must have been out of cell range. The problem you experienced occurs rarely and I apologize for the inconvenience.

The location of this lodge was perfect. I realize repairs need to be done but boxes of stuff sitting around on the stair cases just made the place look a bit unsightly.

I recently had a plumbing leak and a roof leak at the same time. Things got a little crazy. Normally the common areas are clean and neat by check in time.

Thanks for the review. I work diligently to maintain a quiet peaceful environment. As an example there is a strict no noise policy after 10pm.

Gary was very helpful in providing us information about the area, where to eat, letting us know he is available for any of our needs, and checked in with us in the morning. We were very happy with location, ability to walk to the beach and downtown! Parking is a little small...but it worked for us as we had a little car! We will definitely keep the Eagle House Motel on our places to go and hope to come back in the near future!
