We arrived at 4.55pm last Wednesday after a long 3-hour journey from the White Mountains to Rockport with my elderly mother to find we could not access our room (despite being able to book in on the Wednesday as stated on confirmation email) as the office was locked and unmanned. The contact phone number given on the office window just rang the office phone that we could hear ringing - even another guest tried to make contact with Gary to no avail. In desperate need of some facilities after the long drive, we left a note explaining that we were going to a local restaurant for some food & facilities and requested that Gary ring us there when he arrived back. On phoning the office again an hour later, Gary answered, having read our note but ignoring our request for him to call us at the restaurant. At no point was any apology given and little attempt at any conversation. To say we were frustrated and annoyed would be an understatement. There was, however, no delay in taking our payment!
