"An older motel off the main drag in Gatlinburg but a great price with a very fun pool experience for the kiddos. We noted some signs of the hotel’s age, a little shabby in places, but clean and comfortable overall. We found the beds pleasant to sleep in, the towels clean and nice, and the room reasonably clean (though not pristine). This was a great value for the money, and price was a major consideration in choosing it. However, here are a couple perks you might not get from other reviewers that helped us with time/planning. - you can walk from the hotel, along a sidewalk, to Mynatt park that has a stream, picnic tables, grills, basketball court, etc (playground under construction as of 6/20/25 so if that’s important to you, call and ask the city if it’s finished) - the hotel is on the Gatlinburg Trolley route (free to ride) - you are within a mile of the Bud Ogle Homestead, which has a nature walk in addition to historic structures; and just beyond that is the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, which offers a beautiful drive, places to stop and look around, and a few hikes. *note that to park for longer than 15 minutes at the homestead or on the motor trail you’ll need a Smoky Mtn parking pass, which has to be visible in the dashboard so plan ahead for that - you *can* walk to the Parkway attractions from this hotel if you are in good shape, but take the less-steep route (from hotel lobby, turn left on Airport Road, toward space needle)"

"We loved our stay! Our kids loved the pool and we loved the views! The rooms are older and there are lots of cosmetic issues we noticed (cracking paint, peeling wall paper, etc), but the beds were super comfortable and everything worked as it should. Prices at the restaurant were high for the food, but that’s expected at a hotel. Our only complaint the whole stay was chicken cooked at the restaurant that was rock hard. Overall we had a wonderful stay and will be back next time we visit Gatlinburg. "

"My kids cannot wait to go back here! I wish we had more time to stay on property while here because they have a full day of activities for the kids here! We loved the pool and water slides! Great place to go when traveling with kids! "

"My wife and I enjoyed this location 6 yearscago with a couple of our grandchildren. This latest trip was a chance for us to get away on our own and enjoy some down time. With it being in downtown Gatlinburg, you can easily walk wherever you want. There's plenty to do if you're traveling with children or if it's just a couple's trip, you can take your pick of activities. You can certainly drive back to Pigeon Forge easily if you want to visit The Island but for my money and the ease of walking, Gatlinburg and the Edgewater Hotel is the place to stay. Every dtaff member we encountered was pleasant and didn't ignore us. We always choose a room that overlooks the Little Pigeon River that flows below and with a view of downtown. The balcony is small but 2 people can sit out and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or even people watch throughput the day. Every time we go, this is wherevwe stay."

"Stayed here for a concert being performed onsite. My one and only complaint was upon check in when I asked where the show was going to be, neither of the young ladies knew anything about it. It was resolved later so no big deal. Room was clean. Hot tub was great. Free breakfast next door was better then expected. Its not a 5 star restaurant, folks, so dont go in expecting one. Very convenient to all the attractions and restaurants. Staff was friendly, and other then the concert snafu, very helpful. Had no issues with noise from neighboring rooms as others have had. Coffee in lobby was surprisingly good. Would definitely stay here again."
