Unplanned Extra Night in West End

After having our flight to the US cancelled for a second day, we were pleased to find a room at Hotel Posada Las Orquideas on Hotels.com. We had seen Hotel Posada while staying in West End but hadn't stayed there before so we were excited to give it a try! The grounds are beautiful with spacious rooms and balconies. Unfortunately we didn't get to spend much time there after checking in late and heading back to the airport early the next morning. We would definitely stay here again!

Love this place!

We loved this place! The location is great. It is nice to be near West End (a very short walk), but far enough away that it was a very peaceful setting. The hotel felt like a tree house in the jungle with a beautiful ocean view. The studio room was perfect with great amenities if you want to cook or just make coffee and use the refrigerator. The air conditioning was great and we loved our private deck with a hammock. The cafe is so cute and food is also excellent. The WiFi in the cafe is good too! We highly recommend this hotel and plan to return.

A/C unit never went down to 24 celcius degrees , the room cleaning was really bad, they made our bed just one time day before checking out, the toilet was dirty, shower water pressure was poor, for the price that we pay I will consider to go back.

The staff can be a bit tricky. Three times after they charged me for transportation they came back asking for more money. Mistake or scam? Also a pile of saw dust from a repair and a broom was left in my bathroom. Lights were left on and door was not locked by maintenance guy. They offered an apology but nothing else. Customer service is mediocre. Besides that it’s a lovely property but needs some upgrades. Good coffee and breakfast.

West End Hotel

Very peaceful, quiet location within walking distance of “downtown” West End. The hotel has a nice breakfast included; other meals available in town. I stayed at the hotel for a dive trip, and it was conveniently located to numerous dive shops.

Such a beautiful property in a convenient location, yet quiet because it is set a bit away from all the West End hussle and bussle.The staff was friendly and accomodating. The complimentary breakfast was incredible! The room was clean and in pristine condition. We will definitely stay there again!

Positive: The room was clean and spacious and had a safe. It also had big windows and blinds to close for privacy. We liked the veranda with the hammock and green vegetation all around. They had various sitting areas to have a meal. Breakfast was included and generally ok except the bacon which was always overcooked. It was a nice neighborhood and we felt safe and it was close to walk to the busier part of town with shops and restaurants. Negativ: They only provided soap in the bathroom but no shampoo. The flowerbeds were not clean and had junk in it. The garbage was stored near the entrance and it smelled bad when coming or leaving the property.You could not go for a dip from the dock because the ladder was too short to get out of the water again.
