"Check in was quick as I completed pre-check in online. The property is on a quite street in the city mile. I had a junior suite which was a great choice, spacious and big bathroom with separate shower, toilet and bath, plus walk in wardrobe. Japanese toilet is a nice touch. "We love the convenient location on the Strand - closeby to Covent Garden’s - surrounded by amenities for shopping - dining - theatres- the staff and check in experience are wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. Food Restaurant Bar Underground tube - railway - and bus route - 91 to/from Kings Cross- we have used the hotel for 10 years, comfortable beds, rooms spacious, art deco modern and very clean well maintained amenities - Including Rituals, delicious coffee capsules and a quiet room. We generally eat breakfast at the Watch House Covent Garden & visit the nearby Coal Hole pub opposite as we enjoy the live music after a full day of exploring our London events."

"Staff were very pleasant and the location is very good and close to Hoxton station with good links to Whitechapel and a number of underground lines, as well as in walking distance of Old Street station. The room was clean, but very run down and poorly maintained. A bit of wear and tear doesn’t bother me too much, but there were a lot of random stains all over the floor and walls. The pillows were also very flat and lumpy, so uncomfortable. The curtains also didn’t fully cover the window, so with being on a main road it was very bright and challenging to sleep. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again based on the poor maintenance of the room."

"I was arriving early morning on Wednesday and I wanted to be able to check in immediately so I booked a room from Tuesday night. I arrived and was told me room was not ready! I wasn't given an estimate for when my room would be ready, and I sat in the lobby almost 40 minutes until I got my key. The hotel offered a courtesy breakfast and drinks, but I demanded a refund for the prior night since they didn't honor immediate check-in. They didn't give it to me right away but after a follow-up email I got that refund at least. The room they gave me was an accessible wheelchair room, with an awkward shower and low sink. I did not request this nor was I told that's what I would be receiving. Poor property, and it wasn't that cheap either."

"We stayed from 16th - 19th May and were greeted by a friendly helpful person at check-in, then our experience went a little downhill…a cold shower/water on Sunday morning wasn’t welcoming. When we mentioned this at reception we were advised that the fault was known but nothing else ie expectation of when the issue might be resolved etc. We understand that things go wrong but it is how they are made good that makes all the difference at times. Our air conditioning stopped working on Monday evening so I alerted reception. I was told that I would receive a phone call in 10-20 minutes time, with an update. We have since checked out, and are back in Scotland. Alas, no phone call. Please don’t say you will do something then not. The gym was grand and my partner tells me the pool was good. I am unable to comment on other amenities as we did not use them. Sadly, I don’t think I would recommend the hotel to others."
