"Nice place, well designed rooms aesthetically, wished there was storage beyond the three tiny drawers. If a longer visit, you’re half living out of the suitcase. Nice pool area, has a Starbucks for the morning coffee. Lounge area outside rooftop restaurant is very nice for a late evening cocktail. For some unknown reason beyond a money grab, they charge a “resort fee”. There’s nothing here that remotely indicates any sort of “resort”. No hot tub, no pool staff for food/beverage service, the restaurant upstairs doesn’t open until 5 PM. I am at a loss as to how they think they are a resort. It’s a nice hotel with a nice pool and a restaurant, not a resort. To be clear, would stay again."

"Wonderful staff, really wonderful room and of course I loved the balcony on the river. Bathroom fixtures appeared new and in good taste which is not always the case. I wish the pillows were slightly better quality (these were lumpy) although I hate hard pillows which many hotels have and this one didn't. One key praise I must mention that might seem silly : almost every single hotel I've ever stayed in all around the world, with all numbers of stars almost always have bath and shower drains that back up. It's a major pet peeve of mine to stand in water after the shower is off. But with Brookside - didn't happen AT all! Love it!"

"We requested a room close to an elevator bc we are seniors and have trouble walking very far. We reserved a handicap room. That room was very nice but it was at the end of a very long hallway. The desk receptionist was very friendly."

"For the price that we paid it would be hard to beat this hotel . Very nice staff , and helpful . Room was clean , the beds to me weren’t the best if you have back issues, but they were decent . Parking was very easy and right at my door of our room."

"Lovely comfortable, clean, hotel & room which was well maintained. Great location for the conference centre festival and easy walking distance to the town. Parking included. Nice indoor pool also available. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially in getting me a postal delivery for a foreign plug adaptor. 🙂"
