"Lovely 3 night stay at the Clementine. Comfortable bed (best sleep in ages), interesting and quirky things to look at whilst there, lovely staff (especially the young chap serving at breakfast, friendly and lots of smiles), lovely breakfast too. All in all a fab break - ps York was good too, short walk to the centre. "

"Staff friendly and efficient. No bathroom light as broken/bulb gone. Unable to change the radiator temperature in room so was too hot to sleep. Mug had been used and biscuits open and half eaten. It did look like the other clean mug and biscuits so assume the cleaner not checked. However there was a good amount of tea and coffee left if id have felt ok to use the mugs. Everything else is as expected for the standard of hotel"

"Great location. Main building is quirky and beautiful. We were in a room not in the main building. There was a strong smell of damp. I informed housekeeper about one bulb not working and a faulty bedside light. She insisted I must be mistaken, when she checked She reluctantly agreed I was right. Overall a pleasant stay but smell of damp and dismissive housekeeper tainted the experience "
