The perfect little bay.
What a view! We chose a seaside cottage and it was just steps from the water. Good breakfast. Good restaurant. Easy walking to about 20 others? Lots of sun or shade options for laying out. Nice size rooms. We like beds softer and that was the only reason to downgrade the comfort level from excellent. Pillows good. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will book here again.

The Beach front location is idealic, the room was basic but clean and functional. Because the hotel consists of around 10 two-room Cabanas, the hotel even if it's full can't be that busy, with ample sun loungers for all the guests. Tucked in the corner of the bay, several hundred meters from the louder, more traditional hotel, there was little to no passing traffic along the beach. The sand is light in colour, no plastic debris seen at any time and the water was warm. We visited the 1st week in January and the weather was gorgeous. Check in was easy and fast, check out was just handing over the key and walking away. No mini bar in the room, although a fridge and water is provided by the hotel (replaced each day) Please don't expect a five star resort, Overall fantastic location. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Staff were friendly and helpful, but the cabanas need a bit of maintenance to get back to the status shown in the profile photos, but this is a common issue with Koh Samet accommodation.... regardless, this facility is still a good choice for a visitor to the island.

All staff nice, especially Prataporn. She was so lovely and helpful No pharmacy near and air con gave me a chest infection. Maybe offer fan to guests?

The love is gone
We gave been to this place many times and this will be our last. Food was unacceptable. It took 1.5 hours for fries. Breakfast was Thai style, mediocre at best. Staff was friendly for most part. Room was clean and comfortable. Can't get coffee until 11am.

Clean and cozy beach side hotel with friendly staff. But disappointed by noisy Chinese group everywhere. Dinner at the restaurant was good but more expensive than other beaches. Breakfast is average.

On beach
If you want a secluded beach this is a good place. Down side is transportation around island is difficult. I saw a fire show on the main beach and almost did not get back to the hotel as all the taxi drivers were sleeping. Good hotel if you want to stay there and eat or see nothing else. I ate at the hotel restaurant, food was ok but did not compensate for the 21 mosquito bites.

Good view poor service
The staff were not very helpful and the food was not good at the hotel. If you head up the beach the other hotels have much better food and service. I did not eat the western food but the thai food in the resort was ordinary.

The room was right on the sand with a great sea view. Overall, it was very comfortable, even though the water pressure in the shower was VERY low. Overall, it was a nice place to stay.

Locataion was lovely , was very peaceful and she pool area was great Unfortunately I felt majority off the staff were rude and unprofessional, the restaurant was very bad -food coming out cold , meals over cooked, it is also such a shame they allow dogs and cats to pest all around you The restaurant and service was not good at all however the rooms and location was great

Choose the classic bungalow!
Nice resort with awesome location along the beach. Bungalow with beach view must be very nice if there is not too many people like it was the case for us, but I believe it can be noisy. Bungalow a little further are super quiet! The one near the swimming pool looks a bit newer but the environment is not as nice as the rest of the resort. Otherwise, very nice staff, very poor internet, many ants, far from the other beaches...

Great Family getaway
Family with two kids. Enjoyed the location, less busy than other beaches on the island. Hotel pool great alternative to chill. Food OK, but not great. WiFi OK, but not fast. AC a bit too small, but after some time running OK.

Hotel was nice but there were mosquitos in the room and few other bugs. Also hot water heater didn't work. Friendly staff and the beach was very nice. All in all I would recommend the samed cabana to others.

Still Nice but Wong Deuan Has Some Cleaning to Do
We have been here before and it was so nice so we went back again. The hotel itself is basically the same. I think the area looks bigger than when we were here in 2014. We booked a beachfront room and they gave us a nice little hut at the far end of the resort, which was super nice because at least people can't really see directly into our room. In general, only the receptionists speak good level of English and they usually start work at 8 am... so don't expect to get a clear answer from the breakfast staff before that. The worst thing is that the beach is getting dirtier... The reason is that more and more boats now go directly to Ao Wong Deuan... it makes swimming a danger sport and those freaking boats just spill oil in the sea! Those oil ended up in the sand got pushed up to the beach... I had sticky black oil on my feet 3 times during my visit (tips: use sun lotion to clean), it was super frustrating and sad. We feel so sad that we instead walked to some other beaches during our visit. There are also more and more sargassum seaweed floating in the sea and landing on the beach... Some cleaning is really necessary.

Paid the extra for a bungalow on the beach and it was worth it. Hearing the waves crashing all night on the shore and opening the curtains to the beach and sitting on the balcony in the morning was a little bit of heaven. Also they have I think the best located restaurant on the beach and good food. Staff were lovely. The one area they could make a difference would be putting extra time into giving the bungalows a through good cleaning. They were tickled everyday but just never really clean right from arrival which was a shame. Bedlinen was spotless.

Enjoyed our stay at Samed cabana.
Very happy with Samed Cabana resort. We had a beachfront cabin that was a good size and very clean. Enjoyed sitting outside on the small porch in the evening and listening to the waves. Helpful at reception. Breakfast offered eggs, fruit, toast and some Thai options.

Samed Cabana is a hidden gem waiting for you!
Samed Cabana is an incredible hidden gem on the Island of Koh Samet off the coast of Thailand near Rayong. Our only complaint, which is typical for beds throughout Thailand, is the hardness and lack of cushion. If the beds were softer, I could stay there for two weeks. Getting a massage right on the beach cabana while watching and listening to crashing waves is unbeatable! We will definitely return to this place of peace, and it won't be soon enough!

Relaxing resort on a great beach
Nice resort right on the beach. A bit overpriced, but that's becoming common for Ko Samed. It's on a quiet section of beach, but only a few minutes walk to other beach bars and restaurants. Lots of beach chairs and space to sit on the beach.

Overall we had a lovely time staying in one of the beach front bungalows but I have to admit I was disappointed when I saw the bungalow - I expected it to be bigger and have more luxuries. In saying this we were very happy there for five nights and would recommend it.

Fina små bungalows, vi hade fin havsutsikt. Rummen städades inte så väl medan vi var där. Flera trevliga restauranger på stranden i närheten. Tyvärr otur när vi var där, då det var mkt blåsigt så mkt skräp drev in på stranden o vi trampade ofta på svartolja. Bra med kyl och kaffe/te på rummet och värdeskåp. Trevlig personal. Bra frukost förutom när elen kom o gick :-D
