"After staying at the Marino Resort Hotel I decided to book Marina Hotel advertised as a 5 star. From start I was disappointed the staff were some how unwelcoming. This hotel I think caters for local people above all muslim as its dry bar which they dont highlight in the advertisement. I have to be first in saying hello at the counter as they just stay steering at me. I tryed the dinner buffet overal was ok but if I was Italian I will be crying when I tryed the creamy pasta it had so much chili. Overall the hotel is in great location, prices are good, is in good condition but it needs to work more in customer service. "

"Firstly the staff was fantastic, helpful friendly and polite. Food was exceptional both for breakfast, evening meal and afternoon tea. Watch the curries they are proper spicy compared to England. Roof top pool and bar great at sunset. Several different restaurants and all very good quality. The rooms are fantastic spacious and comfortable. They have thought of everything. If you are in Colombo it is worth a stay."
