"A wonderful hotel with a view that could not be matched in the area. The room was comfortable and the air conditioning was a godsend as it was quite warm outside. The view from the terrace should not be missed. The property is a stone’s throw from old castle ruins (free) and an underground sandstone quarry (there is an admission fee), as well as a short walk from the old town. Full disclosure: the hotel is on the top of a hill. While the walk into town was all downhill and relatively easy, the walk back up to the hotel could be viewed as somewhat strenuous."

"We had an apartment style room which was very clean and quiet. They were furnished with dishes and cookware should you be staying for an extended time and did not want to eat out all the time. The rooms has chilled air and were very comfortable. "

"Just back from a visit to Idar-Oberstein. Parking was easy, I arrived after 10pm so reception was closed but a staff member was able to quickly get me checked in. Room was perfect for my stay. Hotel is close to the Felsenkirche and castles. The Norma shop is 2 minutes walk away and there are several places to eat in the square."

"Location was great. Close to Ramstein Base. Rooms was nice and clean. Breakfast was good. But most days we got there close to the end of breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful too. I would stay here again if traveling in this area."
