Everything was great and the staff member at check in was very accommodating when I asked for a ground level room due to an injury. I was a little nervous about there being a fence with barbed wire on the top because it gave me the feeling of an unsafe area.

The room was clean. The bed was great. The staff was nice. The outside area was very noisey and the noise could be heard from inside the room. The surroundings around the facility was alarming. There were several police live feed cameras on poles with lights that were monitoring the crime and people around the gas stations and the laundry mat area that surrounded the motel. We had a boat strapped to the top of our vehicle that remained on top and was safe over night so I felt that the parking lot of the motel was safe. The motel had an obvious monitoring system with live feed set up behind the desk area that the staff member monitored as we checked in. The motel area itself felt safe for that reason. I feel the staff member took his job seriously. Over all it was a good experience other than the loud constant noise from the outside that could be heard from inside the room.

The hotel is clean and rooms are nice. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. The area isn’t the greatest but for the price and what you get, it’s worth considering a stay here. Thanks Super 8 staff for a nice overnight stay!

I can't say there was anything I liked about the property. The room was clean. Continental breakfast consisted of peanut butter & Jelly sandwiches. Not a continental breakfast. Police, ambulance were there the first night to what looked like an apparent overdose. The smell of weed from some of the rooms was offensive. People hanging out around the hotel that didn't belong there. Not a very good experience.

Descent Hotel

The location of the hotel is central. It’s in a great spot to be close to everything, but not get caught up in the traffic of any big events. It’s a decent hotel for the price. Good size room, comfortable beds, and clean.

Does the job, good hotel

It's not fancy, it's a Super 8 for a reason. It's not in Downtown, just a couple of miles away. There is a bus from the main bus depot that's arrives within a 2-3 min walk of hotel. The king bed was good & a few hundred TV channels is a positive.

Just to sleep in it was dine

It was a super simple hotel. No hangers or hairdryer. The bathroom door didnt lock. It shut but didnt really close. It was clean so thats a bonus. There was plaster places in the wall where they were trying to fix holes. It for sure wasnt a 'nice' hotel. But it worked to sleep in.

3 day stay.

First thing we've noticed was the room smelled like cigarettes. The bathroom walls were peeling off and pelled off. Tub had a burn mark on it. Sheets looked clean. Floor was dirty! Walking from tub to the bed was enough. Outside was crazy too. Lots of parking though. Many restaurants near by, quick trip to downtown. Housekeeping was very nice and showed up everyday.

Door to room was not easy to open once card tapped on lock to get into room. Bathroom door had a loose door hinge so had to tinkle with door to shut and be able to use bathroom. Found a cockroach walking on tub. Towels were hard as a rock...super starchy and some had smell to them. Shower curtain holder was loose coming off wall. Checking in was easy Convenient/close to jobsite where i had worked at

I used to live next to I-295 in DC, so I'm used to traffic nearby...but since I've moved away I've gotten a little more noise-averse. There was also a good amount of late night talking and door closing but nothing out of the ordinary. The lighting is great and made me feel safe. The room was good for the price, and I was really just looking for a no frills place to stay after an event. The bed was really comfortable and there were enough plugs. The window unit worked well. There is a microwave and a refrigerator and both worked fine. Overall, I would say I got exactly what I needed.

On a busy four lane (two lanes each way), so very noisy all evening to the early morning hours. The laminate floors felt dirty and when I walked barefoot, the floors felt sticky. The "free breakfast" was disgusting. Alleged apple juice and orange in a dispenser, which I didn't touch. A stack of sliced white bread, to eat raw or to toast. Coffee (the worst) in a push button dispenser to jet the swill into styrofoam cups. The lid on the toilet's tank didn't fit the toilet tank. But the toilet worked pretty well. The towels were the thinnest and least absorbent I recall anywhere. I bet they have no problem with guests swiping towels when they leave. The bed was reasonably comfortable, and there were no bedbugs. Other crawling bugs though, and the morning I left, what appeared to be a cockroach. The street, sidewalks, and parking areas around the facility were crawling with people who looked like extras from Night of the Living Dead. But, there was a Sam's Club next door, and there was easy access to I-40. I didn't hang out there, and just was there to sleep. I would never consider this place if/when I return to Raleigh, and no one who is traveling with a spouse and/or child(ren) should even consider booking a room here.

Good-Ok but noisy

The desk staff was very helpful. Especially when I asked to change rooms because of the noisy street traffic and Hot rods. Room was clean & comfortable. Unfortunately, other guests were noisy at 3 AM and other times.

Area is dangerous, I felt unsafe because my door would not latch all the way and could hear the hallway breeze from outside. The shower had black mold, towels were disgusting I felt like I needed another shower just from drying off. The bed was filthy, sheets weren’t clean room smelled of diseases. Floor was sticky and staff worker was unkind to my situation after explaining to him that I felt unsafe and would like a refund after only being there for an hour and a half then checking out.
