This serene village in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies offers golf courses, hot springs, mountain scenery, snow sports and wildlife.

Visit Radium Hot Springs for a vacation of relaxation and adventure in a mountain retreat at the entrance to Kootenay National Park in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains. Discover infectious alpine kindheartedness and stunning natural scenery here. Get active at area golf clubs, hiking trails, lakes, rivers and ski resorts.

Find amenities of cafés, minimarkets, restaurants and souvenir shops on Main Street. The Radium Hot Springs Visitor Centre and Kootenay National Park Visitor Information Centre share a facility. See taxidermies of park wildlife, pick up trail maps, purchase park passes, obtain an insight into the area’s history and learn about current community events from the friendly staff here. Just 1 mile (2 kilometers) from the village is the spectacular Sinclair Canyon. It serves as a gateway to Kootenay National Park and is ideal for scenic bike rides, drives and walks.

Get close to Kootenay’s striking landscapes via adventure sports tours. Go whitewater rafting on the Kootenay River, paddle a kayak down the Columbia River and hike along over 120 miles (200 kilometers) of trails. Spot bighorn sheep, badgers, grizzly bears and lynx. Try cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing during the winter months. Go ice-skating around the shores of Lake WindermereOpens in a new window.

For some of the area’s best golf, spend days playing the courses of the Columbia Valley Golf Trail, a collection of eight clubs spread between the village and Fairmont Hot Springs. Closest to the village is the Springs Course. Others include the Radium Course, two courses at Copper Point and Eagle Ranch.

Enjoy a soak in the Radium Springs Hot Pools. Once a spiritual site for First Nations people, today the thermal springs are perfect for rejuvenating the body after a day of outdoor pursuits. Relax with views of alpine forests, endless blue skies and snow-capped peaks.
