「I booked a sea view room. Stunning views over the Promenade. Look, it’s a very old hotel, so maintenance is needed constantly. Creaking floor boards and dated corridors. That comes with the territory. My room was superb, clean and bright. I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast (12.50) if a walk in. Piping hot, good selection, spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed, nice and quiet, very helpful reception staff.」

「A smart little hotel with a decent sized bar area that terraced on to the street a good selection of drinks and background music lead to an easy going atmosphere. We never ate at the property as food is only available Wednesday to Sunday the room was well fitted out a brilliant shower with a good supply of consumables supplied ,the bed was ok the springs feel a bit worn, we drove to the hotel and parked the car in the Park pub opposite the hotel there's an arrangement where you put your car reg...

「We didn't stay at the hotel for a number of reasons. Firstly, the surrounding area was deprived with half the buildings either boarded up or in disrepair. Secondly, having a 'seaview' and being a 'boutique' hotel is debatable, but definitely not from the outward appearance of the property. It was scruffy and needed maintenance to the paintwork and front door. Thirdly, to be made to stand outside ringing a bell for 30 minutes is unacceptable and shows poor customer service. The decision was made...

When we got to the alternative hotel the rooms were not ready and it was 7.45pm before we finally got into our room. 「A large comfy bed, and an unusually large TV. Surprisingly quiet considering the location in the centre of town. Complete with a takeaway breakfast, it represented excellent value, and well wortth another visit! 」
