「This was an interesting place. it is not a typical hotel being a 'co-living' centre with several long stay options as well as short stays. It is to the north of the city centre but within easy reach of tram and bus. The room was clean, comfortable and while not luxurious had all that could be asked. There is no restaurant or bar but the Halle Bacalan is a 10 minute walk away with a range of food bars. Breakfast is self service and fine. The staff were friendly and helpful providing advice...

「Very friendly staff, comfortable and spacious accommodation. Only challenge is an accurate understanding of meeting arrangements to gain initial entry: Staff was waiting inside, unbeknownst to us, whilewe were waiting outside ! Instructions should stress “ring doorbell on arrival”, and provide location, since it’s a little hard to find, especially in the dark. But otherwise a truly lovely choice in Bordeaux.」

「Small boutique hotel with very friendly feel. Located about 15-20 mins walk from the old town in a quiet area. There's also a tram stop right outside which will take you to old town in 5 mins. Rooms were clean and tidy and the owner/manager was extremely helpful with local information. 」

「As a lone ,older, female traveler I must say that the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and considering that I spoke very little French. They could not have been more helpful. The room was spacious, very clean , comfortable and extremely quiet. The breakfast facilities were adequate and there was plenty of variety. Again the staff were very attentive and friendly. I can recommend Hotel Vatel and would not hesitate to stay there again.」

「We stayed 4 nights there, the host & hostess showed their warm hospitality to us, made us feel like staying home & made Bordeuax special for us. We particularly liked the quality of the breakfast with the piano music background to start the day. Museum & shopping Centre are just walking distance, good enough for us to spend our leisure time in a raining day. We highly recommend this boutique hotel. 「Room was clean and well appointed. They let us into our room an our early and let us check out two hours later than the standard check out. We really appreciated that because we were only there one night. There was an issue with the fridge not working and a window not closing properly, letting in a lot of noise from the Food Hall next door. The maintenance person responded immediately and replaced the fridge and repaired the window. He also provided restaurant recommendations and advice about...

「Loved the location, the room, and the ease of checkin. It felt like we were on a street in “real Bordeaux” but we were a five minute walk from the tourist center. Easy self check-in (they send you a code an hour beforehand) and lovely breakfast. Next time we’ll stay longer!!」
