The physical resort is attractive and well maintained, but the guest experience fell short over a five‑night stay.Check‑in and communication Check‑in was very slow even with online check‑in done in advance, which set a bad first impression. The app was unreliable and not intuitive, and event schedules were often wrong or in the wrong location, with almost no proactive communication from staff.Dining and snacks No à la carte restaurants were available to reserve for the entire stay, and every day required begging Guest Services for a table while some guests were seated as walk‑ins, making the system feel arbitrary and unfair. Snack options were weak, especially after breakfast ends around 10:30 and after dinner, and some hot items, like eggs under heat lamps, were served cold.Staff and atmosphere Many staff members did not seem friendly and at times appeared annoyed, and limited English made resolving simple issues harder. Cleaning staff were loud in the morning, there was no music at the pools, and there were not enough pool chairs, which hurt the overall vacation vibe.Room design The bathroom layout offered very little privacy, which was uncomfortable when sharing a room.Overall, it is a nice‑looking property, but poor restaurant access, bad communication, and inconsistent service made the stay much more frustrating than a five‑day all‑inclusive vacation should be.

We arrived at 12:45 pm and couldn’t check in early because housekeeping was still cleaning the room. They handed us bracelets for the buffet and told us to wait. We returned to the lobby at 3 pm, but the room wasn’t ready until 3:30. The bellboy escorted us, only to find staff still dealing with an “issue” and they promised we’d be let in soon. After a 15‑minute wait we were told we’d be moved to a different room. At check‑in I asked to reserve a table at a restaurant for the next day; the staff advises that since I booked with Expedia, Edwin, would be my concierge and would handle it, but I never heard from him—unlike other resorts that usually WhatsApp. Housekeeping only made the beds and changed towels; they didn’t sweep, mop, or wipe down counters daily. At the buffet I saw cooks and waitstaff arguing. The waitress/waiters were inattentive, often not offering water or drinks until we were done with our food. We had a sofa bed with no blanket; when I requested one I was given just a sheet. When I inquired about New Year’s Eve dining, I was told we’d have to use the buffet. No one mentioned that a reservation was required for the gala‑style buffet, and I only found out as a line was forming outside the buffet at 10 am that morning.

Room had water leaking.was fixed after we complained. It had glass walls in bathroom. Not apt for a family resort. Front desk did not wrist broken wrist tag. Too much discrimination amongst staff for budget resorts.

My recent trip to the Grand Palladium Palace Resort & Spa was hands down the worst vacation I have ever taken. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the staff was not interested in making guests feel welcome or comfortable. The customer service was abysmal—85% staff members were consistently rude, unhelpful, and downright unpleasant. Instead of being greeted with warmth or hospitality. The staff’s attitude was far from professional; they seemed more interested in rushing us away than assisting us with any questions or concerns. On the first day, we had no clean washcloth, no pillowcase, and no sheets. Went to the front desk three different times before we received clean sheets and rags four hours later. The food was another major disappointment. It was consistently bland, poorly prepared. My husband got food poisoning. We only had the opportunity to try one restaurant within the resort ; fortunately, we had to eat at the buffet for all our meals. We were told all restaurants were fully booked and had no available reservations. Overall, the resort fell short of even the most basic expectations for customer service and comfort. It was a frustrating, disheartening experience that left us wishing we had chosen a different destination. I would not recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing or enjoyable vacation. Save your money and time. there are far better options out there that genuinely value their guests and provide quality service.

We arrived late in the evening on Thursday Dec 11. It took them an 1.5 to get us checked in. We dropped our items off to our room,then went to eat at the buffet. When we got back to our room it was extremely warm, our TV wasn't working in one of our bedrooms, as well as the mini bar. We contacted the front. An hr later they sent someone up to assist. They wasn't successful with anything. Friday morning we called back down bc we slept very uncomfortable, a s covered with sweat. We called back down to the front for assistance around 9a. They sent someone at 5pm. They still wasn't able to fix,the ac nor tv, and ended up having to switch the fridge out. Throughout the night we called and complained. Sat an Expedia agent arrived and switched our room at 3pm. The new room ac worked,but the room had a strong sewage smell that made us sick! Every restaurant we tried to make a reservation with said they were full, we walked to them to them thinking maybe someone canceled. Upon arrival they were completely empty with only five table being occupied. They finally got us in at the steak restaurant. When we were seated our table were covered with ants and were crawling on my daughter's arm! This vacation was a complete nightmare!!!!!!!!! I'm not stop with just this review, I'm taking this as high as possible!!

Our stay was fantastic. All of our concerns were resolved expeditiously. Edwin is excellent. He checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. Carlos was also instrumental in making sure our room was changed to accomodate us. Our stay was great!

Nuestra experiencia fue espectacular. Desde el staff de servicio, la comida, la habitación, todo fue excelente. Todo el personal muy atento. Y el Sr. Juan Jalpay nos brindó un servicio y atención de excelencia. Definitivamente disfrutamos mucho nuestra estadía y esperamos volver pronto. The Perfect, The good and The bad. Perfect - Cleanliness all around, Strong WIFI in the whole resort, Service was great. Good - good but limited entertainment, may be its due to off season(Nov, 2025); food quality was very good, but labels were all messed up, so be aware if you have specific dietary requirements; Bathrooms were clean but dated. Bad - The check in process was extremely slow. This needs improvement. it took us more than 1.5 hours to get us checked in to our rooms.

No, the staff tried to solve the problem, but it smelled of mold. I got my room moved but the smell was in all the rooms. The morning of checkout the bathroom ceiling started to fall in. My concierge service was top notch. The resort is old and was priced too high for the expensive we endured.

We had the best experience at Grand Palladium Punta Cana. Right from the moment we set foot on the property, Marina (manager of relationship services) met with us. Juan (check in at Punta Cana) was amazing. He made check in a breeze. Carlos (manager) from Bavaro coordinated our experience and made us feel at home. Juan and Marina made sure we had a great room, that we knew all the services the resort offered, assisted with a la carte bookings. We also did a dinner on the beach and they did such an amazing job putting this together. They were flexible when it was to rain on the night of our dinner. Hose Cruz (golf cart) drove us in the resort. He is amazing. Our child has food allergies. The chefs at eat restaurant came out to talk to us, including at the buffets. Chef Marvyn from Las Torres ran the breakfast buffet and he made sure the grills were cleaned prior to making my child’s crepes. Ruth from the pool bar is the best. She made the drinks perfectly. She was always pleasant, always remembered our drinks before we even ordered. Aris, Marian, Dani, and the woman from PoP did such a good job keeping the entertainment flowing. I loved the bachacha and the pool aerobics. We look forward to many more vacations at this resort. It was our second time back and it did not disappoint.

Starting off the checkin was very welcoming. They greeted us and it was nice. The rooms were spotless of course and very comfortable. Edwin checked us in with ease and made us feel right at home. The staff and the whole resort is 100%. I will for sure be back to visit.

The Guest services manager Carlos and his staff went above and beyond to make our stay absolutely incredible! Every staff member we encountered—from the restaurants to the grounds—were warm, welcoming, and attentive. The rooms were spotless and beautifully maintained, the bars were fully stocked with great selections, and the lush landscaping made the property feel like paradise.
