Clean rooms, staff is excellent. Beach access and beach pool great. Pool is going to get tile repair. Food was pretty good. I upgraded. My room with no problem for a better view. Be prepared as hot water is really not a “hot” commodity. The resort is older so you do not have 5 star rating but price was very good and the staff makes up for it. Easy walk for 2 blocks to a mall and Soriano store if needed inc food , pharmacy etc. great Mexican fiesta dinner at beach pool.

Check in was amazing, we got there early and were able to check in early as well. The rooms were extremely clean, I saw how the maids cleaned the rooms and they literally took all the drawers out to have them disinfected which I found impressive, definitely above and beyond on that. The plumbing was atrocious though, had to flush way too many times and sometimes the toilet wouldn’t even flush. I also found the photos misleading of the resort making it look bigger than it was and to get to other pool you had to cross the street as the other half of the resort you leave the resort and head to a gate that wasn’t labeled well to find it. Overall I’ve stayed at nicer resorts but this one was alright.

Rooms were very clean and housekeeping was great, traditional Mexican style rooms. The pool staff were so amazing! We never had to wait for drinks and food. I had a broken leg while we were there and they were always so courteous in helping me get around and making sure I had what I needed to be comfortable. Overall resort was nice and clean, pool was perfect and the activities they had during the day were fun.

The staff was amazing even in the recent crisis Puerto Vallarta had. Do not believe everything you hear or see, most is AI garbage. It is very safe there and you will regret not going. Pools side drinks just flow like crazy thanks to an amazing waiter Claudio. This gentleman makes you feel very welcomed from the moment you arrive to the last minute you depart but all the staff are great. Whether you eat at the buffet or book the special restaurant for dinner, you will not be disappointed. The cons are, no fridge in your room. Lack of English channels on tv but your on vacation..haha Need more entertainment and the night club could use a face lift and live music or better music selection. Overall it was a very good time and we regretted having to leave and return to the snow in Calgary Alberta.

Paid for the superior king room and it was atrocious . Old raggedy towels only two . No bath mat , slipped on the way out damn near almost hit my head on the tub. The shampoo containers that were attached to the wall fell off as soon as I touched them the tub had rust around the drain. It just looked like an old nasty hotel room. Pool had children in diapers not swim diapers . Gross and I know the difference between an and I know the difference between a diaper and a swim diaper as I have my own childrenand. A family of 6-8 brought their own boom boxes 4 to be exact and blasted their music - lovely !! Felt like I was in a ghetto condo The breakfast - we were escorted to a private dining area claiming the food was the same as the open dining area - it wasn’t it was 1/2 of the items and not tasty !! After a week of entertaining our guests in town and staying at the Rosita and camping, we thought that we would treat ourselves to a nice hotel but this was certainly not the place if you’re looking for a nice hotel with the ocean views cool at the ocean so you can watch the sunset. I suggest that Rosita hotel and for $100-$150 a night you won’t feel like you’re getting ripped off like we felt here. .

No logre arribar el día de mi check in (22de febrero) debido al bloqueo de carreteras. El hotel no accedió a considerar como no utilizada esa noche, arribe al día siguiente a las 13:oo hrs, mi habitación no estaba disponible, había poca variedad de alimentos, lentitud en los servicios, mala actitud del personal, imagino que debido a la situación de inseguridad que se dió el día 22 de febrero. Yo tuve que entender al hotel y no recibir la calidad del servicio esperada, pero el hotel no fue capaz de entender que debido a lo mismo no pude llegar el dia 22 a mi check in perdiendo ese día de hospedaje. Creo que es esta situación extraordinaria es un tema de personas, pero creo que el hotel no lo ve asi.

I really wanted to enjoy my time at Plaza Pelicanos Club Beach Resort, but unfortunately, the stay fell far short of what was advertised. The room and the resort didn’t match the photos or description. It became clear pretty quickly that the images online were from a different property. The room we were given was worn down, not very clean, and in noticeable disrepair, which was a tough way to start the trip. We tried to work with the staff to either change rooms or check out early, but there was no willingness to help. Feeling stuck in a situation like that is never a good experience, especially when you’re hoping for a relaxing vacation. The food was another disappointment. Even by the standards of an all‑inclusive resort, it felt below par. Dishes were left sitting out for long stretches, temperatures were inconsistent, and salads were often soggy or just unappealing. It didn’t inspire much confidence in the dining options. The pool area also needed significant attention. There were many missing tiles both in the water and around the deck, which made the whole space feel neglected and not particularly safe. On top of everything, the Wi‑Fi situation was frustrating. The listing advertised Wi‑Fi, but there was none in the rooms, and even in the public areas, the connection was so weak it was barely usable. I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I think it’s important to be honest so others know what to expect. Based on my experience, I’d recommend choosin

The room was very well cleaned when we arrived, as was the resort itself. There was wifi in the rooms however it was weak in some spots but it’s no problem. The staff was lovely, the pool waiter Julian was AMAZING always was checking on us and made us feel like we were at home, he went above and beyond even when we were not in his section. Angel the bartender was amazing at making our drinks, as three young girls travelling alone he looked out for us and always made sure we were comfortable. Jesus was a great time.. hilarious! The buffet is tolerable not great if you’re used to flavourful food, the reservation restaurant was very good we went back for a second time. Overall it was great for what we paid, checked all the boxes we looked for in a resort.

Our stay at Plaza. Policano was not the best. The front desk definitely needs additional training. The guy told us that we were not allowed to eat at the pizza and snack bar at the beach with our all-inclusive wristbands, but that clearly was not correct information. Our room safe key was not provided to us day one as it was broken. We had to call the manager on the second day to get ourselves a new safe. The food at the buffet is very limited. There’s one other restaurant to eat at which requires a reservation the day of and needs to be made before 9 AM or it is booked. A small reseller with limited food options. We would not be coming back here.

Most of my two star is based on the terrible food. Very plan half the time it was cold and very basic we spent more money eating off resort just to have one good meal a day. As for the resort itself it was ok very out dated but the staff work hard to keep it clean I will give them that. Kinda odd that one pool is out of the way. I will say I was not happy with the noise way too many kids with parents that could care less because they were on holidays. I definitely got a cheap vacation so that’s on me you get what you pay for. Next time we will spend the extra money and go Adult only from now on and stay in a nicer more up to date resort. It was our first time in PV and will probably go back just not to this resort.

Si quieren pasar año nuevo en este hotel no lo recomiendo pues la cena que dan está muy fea, las uvas estaban podridas, pésimo el servicio de los meseros uno tenía que levantarse e ir a la barra a pedir las bebidas. Para pasar la celebración de año nuevo no lo recomiendo.

The rooms need upgrading. No safe or refrigerator. We booked 6 days and checked out after one. Did not get reimbursed.
