Clean spacious rooms
Very clean room with a lot of space. Good check in and friendly staff. Well sound insulated to noise from the street but very noisy with noise from neighbouring rooms, corridor etc.

Quiet, simple room
While I have stayed at the Merlin previously and given better reviews, this visit was disappointing. The best I can say is the small room, tucked into a corner of the hallway, was quiet and there was a fan available for our use, as well as a mini refrigerator. The room was clean and the bed ok. The showerhead in the bathroom was in poor condition, drooling water out, and falling from the wall. One set of bath towels was quite tattered...the edges frayed and stringy. I would have to say some of the effort and care (working to renovate and improve the rooms an hotel with small touches) which I noticed in past visits has slipped.

The location was very good, just a few minutes walk to Naplavka which is a very fun a lively boardwalk by the water with farmers market and restaurents, grocery store, pharmacy just 5 min walk up the street, and a metro station 5 min walk away is very convenient

Do not stay here
Do not stay here!! Location is the only benefit to this hotel. The staff is incredibly rude and unhelpful. Our fridge and hot plate did not work during our entire 4 day stay. We were told that this would be fixed and that was a complete lie, no one ever came to look at our room to fix anything. We woke up to construction every morning and one day we did not have water. When questioned about this, the concierge told us it was because “the sheets were being washed.” We brought up all of these issues while checking out and were offered no compensation. This hotel is not worth the trouble of staying and I cannot stress how unprofessional the staff is.

Prague after Christmas Day 2018
The front entrance was hard to locate from the street unless you’re on foot. The front door was lock and waited in the cold night to check in. The elevator can only fit a 320 lbs person. I’ve included pictures of the room’s condition. As you can see the leftover food in the frig, the shower head disconnected and the door lock mechanism Faulty. There’s more to our stay that I will not disclose. Pictures are deceiving as we all know that to be. So be thorough on your search. Good luck with this hotel and wish you well in Prague.

I was very happy with Merlin hotel for what I paid. I struggled to find the entrance I could not see no22 but it was midnight and I was tired so maybe that's why. Breakfast not included in price but can be arranged for extra cost. Great location just a few steps away from the Dancing House and the river and very close to the historical center.

Poor housekeeping, helpful reception
Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean when we reached but housekeeping was very poor. A glass broke on our first night and they picked up the broken pieces we had collected together but did not bother to hoover up the glass sprinkles in the carpet even when asked. Had to spend the next 3 days avoiding the area. Bedding not chaneed and soap/shampoo not replaced.

Good value for money
The hotel is nice. The staff we had contact with were very friendly and helpful. We were expecially impressed with the man at the reception when we arrived. It is extremely good value for money. The only two criticisms I have regarding this hotel are that 1) it was extremely hot as there was no airconditioning. This meant we had to have the windows open, and the area is very noisy with traffic noise. 2) The internet was very poor. An investment in airconditioning and good internet and it is an outstanding hotel.

Excellent stay
Loved the location. Parking was easy. We brought our dog and also had breakfast at the hotel. Yummy and affordable at 6€. The only thing I didn’t like was the street noise.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The room was clean and very nice...wood floors, high ceiling, comfortable mattress, small refrigerator, water boiler...and an elevator. The greeting was warm and courteous, the location is excellent, parking was available and affordable, I will stay here again.

Hotel Merlin was in a good location.
It was a scenic 10 minute walk to the Old Town and St Charles Bridge. The room was large and clean and the staff always helpful. There is a good choice of breakfast which will fill you up until late afternoon. There is 1 small lift.

First time in Prague
The stay in Prague was lovely, and it was helped by the hotel. The location is amazing, as it is really close to the river and the Dance house, making it easier to remember when you need to go back after a day of walking. The hotel had nice interior and was relatively calm and silent. Reaching it by public transport was also easy, and there is a shopping Mall close to it in case one wants to buy water or other snacks on the go

PERFECT for the price!! GREAT location SUPER CLEAN
Just loved it! We stayed there 3 nights and had the most amazing experience. This is 7 minutes walk to Chrales Bridge and about 10 minutes to Old Town Square. SUPER DUPER CLEAN! Super nice staff!! It was a bit hard to fins the entrance as for some reason there's no large sign outside, but a nice guy on the street helped us. If you're arriving and can';t seem to find it' look for the doors on the right hand side of the building's large doors. We didn't try the breakfast, as we wanted to wander the streets. The neighborhood east to hotel (opposite from the river) is cutsie romantic and authentic. Many cool Czech spots to check out! We got a welcome wine in our room and had a stunning view from the top floor. There's a 17 Tram right nest to the hotel and a B Metro about 4 minutes walk- in a shopping center with a super cheap supermarket and pharmacy, as well as a large vegan restaurant and nail salons. We LOVED it!! Def coming back!

This adorable little hotel is walking distance to everything you want to see. It's located on a quiet cozy street right next to a cat cafe. There is no place we would have rather stayed

Charmig inredning, okej säng, bra wi-fi, tjocka väggar men tunna dörrar, vårt rum hade privat badrum men det låg utanför själva rummet vilket inte framgick på bokningssidan. Detta kändes mycket jobbigt då man var tvungen att skramla med lås och nycklar och att man inte kunde gå hur som helst mellan dusch och rum. Hade inte valt detta rum om detta hade framgått vid bokning.

Чисто, скромно, тихо, уютно. Находится в приспособленном старом жилом доме. В номере чисто и уютно. Полотенца меняли по требованию - бросил на пол, поменяли. В номере полный набор Фарфоровой посуды, ложки, вилки, ножи, чашки, стаканы. Чай, сахар пополняли ежедневно... В номере есть электрочайник, холодильник. Чайник очень маленький, на 3х человек не достаточный объём. В пешей доступности до основых достопримечательностей 15-20 мин пешком. Вход в отель неприметный, можно проскочить мимо, не заметив... Персонал общается на русском и украинском языках, только один дежурный администратор говорил на чешском и английском языках.
