"Place was unique. Room was spacious and uniquely designed. The only window was up some stairs and you couldn't really see out of it. There was an art gallery and book store next to the hotel on the property which were very nice. "

"This is most likely the nicest hotel in Obidos, located in the former medieval Moorish Castle and subsequent Bishops Palace, in the heart of the old city. Note that you must park outside the walls in the free lot behind a nearby bank. The hotel provides a golf cart shuttle for your luggage. The rooms are comfortable. "First time at a Pousada, though have stayed in Paradores in Spain. This is a very comfortable sprawling historic hotel with absolutely top-notch and genuinely friendly service, especially at meal times. Excellent food and lots of space inside the room and in common areas. The view over the city is lovely. Visitors need to know that it’s a pretty quick trip to the town and surrounding areas, but by no means a short walk. That makes this Pousada feel like a welcome getaway."
