Top Portloe Hotel Reviews

St Michael's Resort

St Michael's Resort

10/10 Excellent
"Upon arriving to this hotel, it looked luxurious before you even go into the building. Carpark was a bit confusing to find as it’s up a steep slope hill, and parking can also be tricky as it is an open carpark to public also. Lucky we found a space straight away but could be an issue, especially for disabled, as only saw 2 bays, one luckily we got to use for the duration of our stay. It was a couples break away, celebrating my partners birthday and we booked the exclusive spa, for 2 hours, if you’re staying at the hotel it’s cheaper, £40 each. Or you can get early morning deals. The stay was very peaceful, quiet and felt rejuvenated. Walks around the area were lovely, although very hilly. Be prepared to wear comfortable footwear. Hotel & spa grounds very well kept, quiet and modern. Our room was spacious, with a luxury bathroom inc a big bath tub and walk in shower, huge sink. The added reed diffuser smelt luxurious too, never any horrid smells in the room/bathroom. Only complaint would be Noticed curtain / net tops could be cleaned / dusted. Also roof top you look out to, could be maintained / cleaned as there’s a lot of seagulls who like to poop. They also wake you up early. Food was some of the best served! Special mention to Andy the waiter, from nourish & bar area. He was attentive and would be happy to assist. Lovely place to go as a couples break away! Would return! Hand made pizza 10/10 & steak & fries is a large portion! Great place."

Fistral Beach Hotel and Spa - Adults Only

"The hotel was perfect, our room clean and kept nice over our stay. The breakfast was unbelievable, so much choice. All very tasty and fresh, so very pleasing to the eye and the stomach. The staff to include;Ty, Thomas, Amy, kwan and bartenders. And the breakfast greeters. My massage that I had with Amilie was out of this world so I booked another one, she was so pleasant and excellent at her job, the best ever. I worked for Marriott hotels for 25 years, I know good service when I see it. Thank you to all the staff and mgmt for making our stay fabulous. Steve & Lauri"

"We booked a balcony room overlooking the harbour with our dog. The staff on reception were wonderful. In our room there was a doggy welcome gift, treats toy poop bags. The room was large and comfortable. Robes slippers and a fan. We should have prebooked a table in the pub as it was busy, and dogs not allowed in the gorgeous restaurant, so thankfully we sat outside. Food and views were great. Close enough to stroll into town. Small green area where the dog could do her business at night and in the morning with handy bins. Hotel is very characterful. I would like to stay in the Florence Nightingale room next time. Parking around the hotel. Highly recommend."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The only downside was the condition of the tennis courts. We specifically looked for a hotel with a tennis court and the photos on the website looked great. Unfortunately the courts seem to have been neglected. Only one had a net and the surface was really not safe to play on. I think the misleading photos need removing from the website, or the courts need attention. Other than that we had a great stay. The gym and pool areas are great."
