"I stayed at The Giri Residence with two friends for four days in mid-July. The hotel and location were gorgeous. We wanted a relaxing stay for a holiday and to celebrate my 40th birthday. While the rooms and hotel were stunning, we felt that customer service was very disappointing. The staff were nice and polite but they were not very attentive. "Lovely boutique hotel. Short walk to the beach and restaurants. Everyone is very friendly. Room is small but tidy and well maintained. Nothing that could be complained about. They even have beach towels, bag and sunhat in the room. I can highly recommend it!"

10/10 Excellent

"This is the first hotel where we cannot fault anything! The design was beautiful, the service exceptional and the food amazing. We are a mix of vegetarians and vegans which we told the hotel about before arriving and they went out of their way to provide so many options for us. It’s right next to a beautiful sandy beach and all rooms face the sea. The only very minor thing is they don’t have any loungers on the beach itself. "

"This was my second stay at this hotel - I really like it and plan to go back again next year. The quiet location is fabulous - right on the beach. The hotel is a bit dated in decor and basic in terms of amenities but delivers great value especially as a half board option. The food isn't super fancy but the buffet provided lots if options and is continually refreshed during the course of service. The staff are friendly and work hard to make sure guests are happy. The main gripe is sunbeds - the hotel doesn't allow guests to save beds with towels but guests do it any way. Last year people abided by that rule and this year they did not. The hotel can't win in this situation as people get upset either way, however the gorgeous beach provides an alternative for 7euros per bed per day which we enjoyed more than being by the pool. Internet worked fine and even reached our beds in the beach. Parking in the area can be busy but we always found a space. This more of a family feel hotel and a long drive from clubs - suits people who want to relax."

"The grupotel portinaxt was a very relaxing hotel. The room was very bright and clean. The other guests were quiet and respectful. The staff were all lovely. Breakfast was so good, so much choice and always very fresh. Definitely recommend this lovely hotel "
