Great spot. Easy to walk to Four Mile Beach and the Main Street in Port Douglas. The unit was a little rundown and in need of a renovation. Some of the towels had black marks on them too (maybe a problem with the washing machine?!?!).The pool facilities and gardens were well maintained. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Point to note…there is a water area being built directly opposite. It could be noisy during construction but would be a great area for kids once completed.

Was great location, close to beach and main street. Beds are too hard by far, cleanliness was ok but I believe it was more to do with the age of the apartment. Needs refresh. Reception and Management were lovely and helpful.

Apartment good size with everything needed. Some maintenance required, rain shower broken, outdoor sofa stained. Room was not cleaned well, I had to clean on arrival. The location is great, short walk to Macrossan Street. We were on top floor, no lifts so bit of work with suitcases.

The room we had was very run down and tired. There were tiles that were cracked and even lifting in parts. The lounge furniture and outdoor furniture was worn out. Apartment was very spacious and its position is perfect for any visit to Port Douglas being an easy walking distance to anywhere you want to visit while in town. Pool was kept at a really nice temperature for ease of getting in. Has got a lot of potential for being an amazing place to stay but the rooms are in dire need of a refurb before I would be interested in staying here again.

This is not 4* as described. The apartment was dirty and poorly cleaned. The pool area and the facility was very disappointing and dirty. The customer service was not satisfactory. I would not recommend Mowbray by the Sea to others.

The apartment is a bit dated but Spacious. We knew there were no lifts before we booked. Reception offered to help with bags but we were fine. There was a problem with the hot water and that was fixed the next day. It must have been the low season when we stayed for a week. My only Gripe is the pool collected leaves and stuff every day and was only cleaned once. Which took some enjoyment away from the pool area. This apartment is a short walk to the Main Port Douglas shopping street with plenty of choices for restaurants.
