"A well-appointed house on a canal in a rural area close ( a few minutes) to Port Clinton, with plenty of room for the four of us. Our stay was very short but would definitely choose it again. One point, one of the beds is a full-size mattress turned sideways so very wide but not suitable for adults unless you sleep "across" it. We were there to bird the famous Magee Marsh and Ottawa NWR, it was great for that and if you have a boat you can tie up right there."

"This was my third time staying here and it's been great each time. Friendly staff, very clean. Comfortable beds, cold air conditioning. The fridge and microwave worked fine. It's kind of off the beaten path a little bit which is one of my favorite things about it. Very quiet and peaceful location."

"Check in was quick and easy. The staff member who checked me in (I forget his name; he was young with brown hair, a beard and nice smile) was very friendly. The room was nice with a full size fridge/freezer combo, microwave and coffee maker. The beds were very comfortable with fluffy pillows (I always need fluffy pillows when I sleep). The pool was normal sized and my son and I had it all to ourselves when we went to it. It was a little dirty with leaves and other debris floating and at the bottom of the pool. Even though the page says no breakfast, there was coffee and mini muffins in the lobby. Check out process was quick and easy as well. I would definitely stay here again if I needed a place to stay in Sandusky close to Cedar Point."

" Our recent stay at Breaks was absolutely fantastic, and we can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the truly excellent staff. Every interaction was met with genuine warmth, professionalism, and a clear desire to ensure we had a wonderful visit. Their attentiveness truly made a difference. The food options at the hotel were a highlight, offering a delicious and varied selection that catered to all tastes. We particularly appreciated Starbucks in the morning The hotel's location was also ideal, providing early access to the park. It served as the perfect base for our adventures. And finally, a special shout-out to the pool – it was an absolute clutch during the storms! While the weather outside was a bit unpredictable, having such a well-maintained and enjoyable pool area allowed us to continue relaxing and having fun, regardless of the rain. It truly saved the day! Overall, our experience was exceptional. We left feeling refreshed and incredibly satisfied, largely due to the outstanding staff, superb dining, convenient location"

"Over all I really enjoyed my stay here. It was close and convenient to both ferry's to Kelley's Island and Put in Bay. Pool was nice. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was okay. Last day of our stay they were out of most of the options we wanted. We stayed for 5 days, and my understanding was that we would get housekeeping after night three (day four). But we'd requested new towels on day three and not received any other housekeeping services. Room was decent size. However there were not enough plugs near the bed and our phones do not take USB chargers anymore. So we had to utilize the bathroom outlets to charge devices. Was also surprised there was not an in room microwave (never stayed at a hotel that didn't so I didn't even think to look at the room amenities). So we had to go downstairs to use the community microwave. "
