「The room was amazing - right on the beach so you are staring at the ocean from bed. The service was wonderful - everyone was so helpful and so attentive. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the included massage was top rate. 」

Wir haben aber auch kein all-inclusive Luxushotel erwartet, sondern ein authentisches, familiäres Plätzchen mit viel Charme und einer entspannten Atmosphäre. Da muss man auch gelegentlich mal fünf gerade lassen und nicht Schweizer Standart erwarten. Man muss sich auch bewusst sein, dass der Ozean aufgrund der Gezeiten nicht immer brav vor dem Privatstrand wartet, sondern sich auch mal einige hundert Meter weit zurückziehen kann. Umgekehrt...

「Rummet är i sig fint, stort och rymligt. Dock funkade endast ACn och kylen halva vistelsen. Hotellet saknade el-generator så vi var utan ström under flera stunder av vistelsen. Poolen misstänker vi läckte och tappade mycket vatten. Vi kände oss endast bekväma med att bada i den tre dagar av vistelsens sju pga vattennivån och sedan färgerna på vattnet när det blev lågt. Utomhusbelysningen var trasig för vårt rum, men vi kunde ta med en lampa från rummet ut på kvällarna när vi ville sitta ute. 」

「Very welcoming and friendly staff; restaurant went out of their way to accommodate our dietary restrictions. The property is kept very clean and well staffed. If you want a break from the crowded touristy areas of Zanzibar; I highly recommend Treetop. Just be aware that off property it’s a distance to find restaurants or proper markets. But Treetop is so good for a quiet restful stay in Zanzibar. It’s also very close to Jozani Forest which is a major attraction for nature and wildlife 」

「We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was wonderful! Heads up: the beach had a lot of sea urchins in January. There were some local youths that showed us safe passage and starfish, sea spiders, lionfish, etc. right there on our beach for a small fee. For swimming the hotel pool was beautiful. The food in the hotel restaurant was reasonably priced and good. 」
