"We had a great time and a positive experience in general. The location of the hotel is perfect - close to the beach and the main strip. At the same time it's in the quiet more family-oriented part of the resort and it was quiet at night. The food was quite nice as well and there were beer, drinks and ice-cream/snacks throughout the day. The negatives - this is not a 4 star hotel. It looks and feels more like a 3* hotel. "Lovey hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a good choice of pools, although the indoor one was closed during our stay. The sea is not too far of a walk. The gym is non existent however which was disappointing. The spa has a good selection of equipment and treatments. Overall, Golden Sands looked unkept with rubbish everywhere, despite regular rubbish collections. Also, a lot of the pavements were uneven and with damaged tiles which made walking to and from the beach difficult. It’s a shame really."
