「The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but the amenities of the hotel were what sold us, however the sauna and hot tub were not available, nor were options to look at any of the farm to table process that the website mentions. Room temperature is controlled by staff and our room was HOT! We had asked that it be set cooler but that did not happen so it was hard to get to sleep. With all of that said, the pool area was lovely! The breakfast was incredible and the staff are very lovely.」

「Our stay at Quinta da Estrada was simply wonderful. The vineyard property is gorgeous and the room was fabulous. We had the Loft - with an amazing outdoor patio offering panoramic views of the Quinta and surrounding landscape. We had dinner in their restaurant both nights, including the wine tasting dinner. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The perfect place to stay for our first trip to the Douro Valley.」

We had an amazing stay at Quinta São José do Barrilário in the Douro Valley! The property is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by vineyards with breathtaking views of the valley. The peaceful atmosphere, lovely accommodations, and stunning scenery made our stay feel truly special. It was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of Portugal’s wine country. 「Breakfast was good. My only complaint is not with the hotel but with Expedia. I booked a room with breakfast but did not check the receipt, only to arrive and be told that breakfast was not included. A google check exposed that this is due to a glitch that expedia is aware of.」
