This hotel is advertised as a "resort" (and even charges a $38 resort fee) but this was more like staying at my grandmother's house than a $400/night hotel. After checking in Church Landing and being directed to our hotel, Mill Falls Resort, we never saw another staff member, even when we went to the wrong building, the Chase House. There was no staff in either building and we had to ask other guests for help finding our room. There was no one to greet us, no one to ask about food/dining or where to park. There was no one to prevent strangers from simply walking into the hotel through the automatic doors.
The hotel room itself is very dated and the bathroom (complete with peeling wallpaper) was completely underequipped. The only amenities were four travel sized bottles--2 lotion, one body wash that was apparently supposed to be for both washing our bodies and our hands as there was no hand soap, and a "conditioning shampoo"--didn't even splurge for separate conditioner. There was no refridgerator and our windows had some kind of film on them so we couldn't really see out--although our view was of the highway not the lake. I would have asked about this if there had been any staff to talk to in the building.
If I had paid $200 for this room, I would have chalked it to me just mediocrity and not even bothered to leave a review. But paying over $400 for a room that didn't even provide us with soap to wash our hands was too much. I would emphatically not recommend.
