A very well run B and B with a very nice and kind owner. Lovely breakfast, a little pool to cool off,comfortable beds, everything worked - all good. The wi-fi was a little spotty though.

Vainilla is a true gem! The staff is top-notch, friendly, and treated us like family. Roberta, the owner, tracked our arrival which was greatly appreciated. Her breakfasts were incredibly delicious; each was homemade and served warm daily. Our favorite was jamaica jam and freshly-made prickly pear juice. As for the living quarters: stunning! They were huge rooms with bathrooms and plenty of closet space. Ana, the housekeeper, was wonderful and incredibly meticulous. Our room was kept spotless. Playa's beaches are a short walk away. We had no problem getting lounge chairs through an arrangement with Mamitas Beach Club, and we got to enjoy the clean sparkling pool after a long hot day. We really can't say enough about this bed and breakfast. We were sad to be unable to cancel our reservation at a separate hotel, for we would have enjoyed extending our stay here. ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL, if you are coming to Playa Del Carmen. Thank you, Vainilla, for an unforgettable stay!

The place was very colorful inside and out. Roberta was great! She contacted me to see about my arrival plans and she made sure my husband and I had what we needed. She gave great suggestions for where to eat, what to do and she made sure we had a taxi when we needed it. She made a fabulous fresh breakfast with fresh juice, fruit, eggs, toast and danishes along with a scrumptious marmalade. I would definitely return if I'm back in the area.

This B&B is quite basic, but definitely worth considering and a good value for the price. The style and decoration of the rooms and the patio eating area are very charming, with bright colors and local art. My room was incredibly clean, in contention for the cleanest room I have ever stayed in.

Overall excellent! Great value for your money! Roberta, the hostess is extraordinary, super friendly and kind, she made us feel like at home. Her recommendations were always great. Vainilla B&B exceeded our expectations! Breakfast was excellent, home made bread and jams and fresh fruit and juices, phenomenal! We loved it and we would stay there again without a doubt! We took the two front rooms, and stayed there with 3 little kids. Bedrooms were spacious and clean, it was quiet at night, and we felt safe all the time.

Amazing hospitality

This place was super cute with lots of bright furniture and art everywhere. The host Roberta being the outstanding part......so helpful with everything, including booking us Taxis and telling us about local hot spots.

Maravilloso Bed and Breakfast

Vainilla no le pide nada a los hoteles de lujo. Sus habitaciones son amplias, cómodas, incluso hay unas que tienen refrigerador y cocineta con los utensilios básicos para prepararse algo. El desayuno que sirven es tipo europeo (fruta, jugo, pan y café), pero es suficiente para empezar el día. En primera instancia, la zona en la que se encuentra no da mucha confianza, pero la verdad es que es muy seguro. Tanto que dejé el auto estacionado afuera y no hubo problema alguno. El único pero que le pondría es que se oyen todos los ruidos de la calle, y si eres de sueño ligero puede que te despiertes a cada rato. Fuera de eso, es un lugar ampliamemte recomendable.

Wunderbares B&B zum Entspannen

Zuerst: Der Check In erfolgte aufgrund von Verspätung unseres Fliegers mitten in der Nacht! Roberta, die Besitzerin, war trotz später Stunde mehr als zuvorkommend. Am folgenden Morgen würde dann entspannt alles Weitere geregelt und wir bekamen noch tolle Tipps zum Essen in der Umgebung sowie eine Karte. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig, was man dem Haus von außen nicht ansieht. Inbegriffen waren eine tolle Klimaanlage und ein gemütliches Badezimmer sowie ein kuscheliges Bett. Auch war das Zimmer liebevoll eingerichtet. Jeden Morgen gab es frischen Obstsalat, Toast, Butter, hausgemachte Marmelade, selbstgebackenen Kuchen und erfrischenden, selbstgemachten Fruchtsaft. Der Frühstücksbereich liegt im Freien unter einem Dach aus Blättern, eine grüne Oase mitten in der Stadt. Das B&B war so gelegen, dass man alle wichtigen Punkte wie Strand, 5. Avenida und tolle Restaurants innerhalb von 5-15 Gehminuten erreichen konnte. Zudem konnten wir den Kühlschrank in der Küche mitbenutzen, sodass Abends nach ereignisreichen Tagen immer kalte Getränke zu haben waren, die man bequem in den umliegenden Supermärkten bekommen konnte. Auch der man Haus gelegene Pool war prima für eine Erfrischung. Aufgrund der tollen Lage, der exzellenten Gastfreundschaft und tollen Tips von Roberta empfehle ich dieses Hotel ohne Einschränkung!

Home away from Home!

My Fiancé and I loved Vainilla B&B. We recommend to everyone. Roberta is amazing and very friendly. We loved getting to know her! She really takes the time to make sure her guests are happy and comfortable. The rooms and decor are beautiful! She also recommended great attractions and restaurants!

El mejor hotel de Playa del Carmen

Hidden gem away from the tourist area

We loved our stay at Vainilla Bed & Breakfast! The best part of our stay was the host, Roberta. She was very helpful and took the time to chat with us and gave us a lot of good information. The bathroom was a bit small, but the main room was very spacious. Our room had a/c, but we didn't use it...we found the fan was enough. We really enjoyed breakfast in the morning as well, especially the homemade cakes each day. It's away from the main tourist area which we liked as it felt more authentic but we could still walk there. For us, the personal touch was what made it most enjoyable.

Great stay with a great Host

We were extremely pleased with our stay. Roberta was an excellent hostess. She made sure we knew how to get to the property in advance and stayed up late to welcome us. She was very helpful with all questions and responsive for any issues (the shower head was a bit cracked - 5 minutes later she had fixed it :)) The breakfast which Roberta prepares is all homecooked and very enjoyable (changing everyday). The room was large with plenty of space and a good functional kitchen area. We didn't use the pool but it did look clean and the beach was about 15minutes away. Overall a very good stay and we would recommend and happily return.

Feels like you are at home

we stayed for a week for our anniversary in Playa Del Carmen. It was perfect location to go to tulum, cenotes, xplor and close to the 5th ave and the beach. The host, Roberta was awesome! She is very nice and helpful, and her place was great! It was decorated so pretty and always clean. She served breakfast with fresh fruits and smoothies, homemade jam and bread, very delicious! We felt safe staying her place, feels like you are at home. We would love to go back and stay at her place again.

divino, muy limpio y desayuno riquisimo.

El lugar es muy lindo y calido, la verdad que Roberta, su dueña, te hace sentir como en casa. Todos los dias prepara unos desayunos riquisimos y super sanos.-El lugar es muy lindo, super limpio y tiene todas las comodidades que se necesitan y es tal cual surge de las fotos de la pagina.Las habitaciones a decir verdad son grandes como un loft La pileta es super cristalina y limpia, como todo. Nosotros alquilamos auto para poder a todas las playas que stan mas lejos, pero si quieres ir a la publica que esta mas cerca son solo 5 cuadras,.-Asimismo caminando hay varios lugares para ir a comer. Super recomendable y ojala podamos regresar.Asimismo Roberta te da todos los tips de los lugares a visitar y a cueles no ir.-
