"I booked on hotels.com, & was not notified that the hotel would be under construction & undergoing a rebrand to The Clara. I was first given a room on the fourth floor which was close to some construction going on. After a solid 10 min of someone running a hammer drill above me, I called down to the front desk & was assured that would only be during business hours. I askedif that would be Saturday which was the next day because I was there Fri through Sun. I was told that they would be working on Sat. I tried to be patient but the hammer drilling continued & was about to give a migraine headache. I called down ready to leave the hotel if I could not get another room. The gal at the front desk said she could put me on the second floor. That was much better. On Saturday, I was taking a shower in the afternoon & then headed to a concert that evening. I had to do not disturb sign out & the door catch lock flipped. I heard a knock on the door as soon as I got in the shower. I hollered out of the shower that I am in the shower. This happens twice. A few seconds later someone tried to enter the room, then close the door when they evidently realized that it was occupied. After I got out of the shower & got dressed I opened the door because there was a bunch of noise out in the hallway. I asked the guys working out there if someone had come to my door. I was told yes that they were cleaning the a/c. They came in, completely dismantling the AC with a tarp over my bed for about 20 min!"
