"Our room was nice, simple and clean. The bathroom door wouldn’t close completely, so it kept opening when we tried to closed it. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the concierge. The bar and pool was nice. The beach sand was nice, but the water was a little polluted. There's not much amenities there. The resort didn’t have activities for guest to do."

"This is a gem of a quiet, accommodation spot with a nice sandy beach, small pool, a good restaurant and nice swimming in the ocean out front. The accommodation huts are perfect, the beds are decent and we felt as if we had our own private resort for some enjoyed R&R. It’s a short drive away from Placencia but well worth it for this experience. Kids loved the pool, paddle boards, hammocks and large beach area. I definitely recommend this place!! "

"Mariposa is a hidden gem. It’s quiet, spacious, and welcoming. It’s super conveniently located- the Placencia airport is about a 1/2 mile away, and the Village is about a 3 min golf cart drive. It would be a long walk. There are several markets to buy snacks and drinks in the Village, as well as great restaurants. Our room was not a treehouse and was in a sub-par location/ up stairs and behind a wall- it did not overlook the pool, beach, or jungle, but provided a nice escape after days of diving. Rooms are well stocked with towels, soaps, linens, mini-bar, etc and the AC worked great. The food was good- we mostly ate breakfasts. The bar offered espresso, as well as a variety of spectacular cocktails. They infuse rum with several different types of flavors- pineapple, habanero, ginger, etc- and make beverages to suit all tastes. Gladis is amazing! We had a couples massage in our room, which the GM, George, organized for us. All in all- I would choose to stay here again!"
