We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The staff went above and beyond to assist us with travel around Placencia, including arranging shuttles to and from the airport, and their service throughout our stay was exceptional. We stayed in the Tree Top Suite, which was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. The restaurant offered delicious meals—especially the fish—and the water views were spectacular. The beach was quiet and beautifully secluded, perfect for relaxing. My favorite part of the stay was the dock at night, where we laid out under expansive starry skies with nothing but the sound of the ocean around us. Truly a memorable and special experience.

The is such a lovely place to stay. It’s small, quiet, beautiful and charming. The staff are all so kind and helpful. There are more staff than are guests. The beach is gorgeous and clean and I often had the place almost to myself. They have an espresso bar, nice open air restaurant with rentals for golf carts, snorkeling or paddle boards. I was only there 2 days so I didn’t do any of the activities. It is a few miles to town so you’d need to rent a golf cart and have someone drive you. The room was nice and comfortable right at the beach. I’d definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, quiet setting. The drive into town is deceiving when you look at the miles. It takes 25 mins. The staff was lovely, the food was good, the grounds were amazing. We road the bikes, used the kayak and paddle boards. We especially loved the dock for viewing sea creatures.

From the moment I walked into Azul del mar I felt like I was visiting family! This is truly a remarkable place to visit! You won’t even want to leave the property! I would highly recommend staying here. I will definitely be back one day! The rooms are spacious. The food is great! Lots of things to keep you entertained on a rainy day. It is a one of a kind experience. If you are hesitating to stay, don’t!

Our Jaguar room was not only spotless, but was comfortable and stocked with coffee, and filtered water, had a vintage microwave and fridge/freezer, and an awesome shower room all decorated with the jaguar theme. The resort's small pool was clean and a comfortable temp. We loved the Adirondack chairs on the long dock which were perfect for relaxing and watching the sunset and stars. We biked, swam in the sandy beach, snoozed in the hammock, and kayaked and paddle boarded along the shore seeing baby stingrays, jellyfish and many roosting and feeding birds. Our adult son took a kayak a mile out to a mangrove forest and had a great massage from Chloe. We highly recommend fryjacks at the resort's restaurant and also their special Korean Barbecue which was fun and tasty. (Be aware that it says one order serves two, but you are charged for two. I didn't realize that so the bill was higher than expected.) We highly recommend this small, casual resort and hope to visit again.

Chloe and the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. The property was amazing! It was secluded and our room was clean and had everything we needed! We ate at the restaurant and it was so delicious! They make their own pizza! We used their stand up paddle board and kayak to explore the ocean. You can really tell that they take pride in their service and facility. This is a must stay when you are staying in Maya Beach!

I really wanted to give Azure Delmar a higher rating because so many aspects of my stay were wonderful. The food was excellent, the ocean views were breathtaking, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the amenities were great. Unfortunately, my experience was affected by two major issues — bedbugs in the room and a leaky roof when it rained. These problems made it impossible for me to fully enjoy the stay or give a higher rating. While I wouldn’t return because of the bedbug issue, this experience has definitely made me more cautious and better prepared when traveling in the future.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. View from room and patio were amazing. A/C wouldn't cool the room, so we had to sleep with the windows open...Ocean breeze kept the room cool, but was a little like trying to sleep in a wind tunnel. Overall the hotel provides a great experience.

The property is absolutely gorgeous. It feels secluded, but you're only a short taxi ride into town where there is shopping and restaurants. The staff is exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and helpful.
