"This is a stunning campsite, beautifully maintained. Our tent was wonderful and every detail was taken care of. The lodge was stylish, as were all the firepits and hammocks. The nearby road and railway are noisy, but they provide earbuds for the nights. If this is representative of all Under Canvas campsites, I would go back in a heartbeat."
"These are picturesque log cabins, conveniently located just 7 minutes from the West Glacier park entrance. They are quite well equipped, including a fridge, though have very few plug sockets (2 in the bathroom and 2 literally in the floor). Breakfast is provided in a basket in your chalet each day and included porridge oats, pastries and fruit. Staff are friendly and coffee is available on tap in the small reception building during office hours."
"Older charming chalet. Was original headquarters for the park is what a tour guide told us. Room was nice, staff great and had breakfast in the AM to go. Would definitely stay again."
"We had a nice room inside the lodge room. Room number 22 was nice and we could drive right up to the steps and it was upstairs so we did not hear downstairs noise. The bar in the lodge is totally empty expect for Thursday to Sunday so it’s basically a large empty room where you can get tea and coffee. It would be nice if there were events or activities or the bar was open during the week"
"Very clean and quiet. Peaceful location. Our only challenge was limited availability times in the office. I needed to talk with someone about canceling one night’s reservation due to accidental double booking on Expedia by travel agent. It took almost a week to finally get through to a person on the phone. No one responded to my multiple messages left on Expedia messaging portal.
Also, we tried to donate our unused Bear Spray canister the morning we left (around 9 AM). The office was closed and sign on the door said it was not open until 3 PM. We had no choice but to leave it in the room. Hopefully someone got some use out of it and it wasn’t thrown away. That would have been a great loss for $50 full can of unused Bear Spray."
"Stayed in the westside rooms, facing the road.
It’s a single room, with bathroom.
Very Clean room , comfy bed, but NOISY!
The walls are really thin, so you hear your neighbors easily. You will hear showers running and toilets flushing.
Just across the street from the main lodge, so easy to get meals, drinks, do some souvenir shopping.
Super bonus: the Red Bus tour picks up at the lodge, and you can walk to the GNP gate.
Parking is just outside your room, and you hear all traffic going by.
Great location, especially if you are going into the park!!!
Get a room in the lodge if possible."
