「Fantastic hotel and i will return, but on the two evenings there along with other guests we had to walk to find staff for drinks and there wasnt on numerous occassions anyone on reception. They seemed to congregate in the kitchen area. 」
「Having been to a golden wedding celebration at Downton Old lodge, we needed a place for an overnight stay. The Loin was perfect. Lovely old beams, comfortable room with super bathroom, good food and pleasant staff. My choice gave me a lot of brownie points from my wife!」
「Excellent stay , room lovely all staff were so friendly and helpful ! Breakfast very nice , no complaints at all it was 30 degrees when we stayed ,room was very warm but a fan was provided without us needing to ask .
There is free parking but wd parked at the ncp which is literally across the road .」

The food; particularly the free breakfast had a wide range to choose from and was good quality. I would recommend this hotel.」
「What a beautiful place. Sue was a fantastic communicator and texted me the details the day before to ensure an easy check in process. When we arrived, wow!! The outside of the property is like a post card idyllic. The inside was absolutely beautiful also. All original flooring with a modern twist. Room was clean, welcoming and just stunning. Really loved the window shutters. All our needs were catered for down to the fresh organic milk which was simply divine. We decided we didn’t want to leave...
「2nd visit to this beautiful boutique hotel. Loved the rooms,food & beautiful gardens with plenty of tables & seating areas. Staff very helpful & friendly. Car park close by you do have to pay however we downloaded app and where able to top up following morning. Very central to everything you need bars restaurants shopping and great walks near by. Would highly recommend 」
