The hotel is beautifully maintained and designed. The staff is great. The location was in the thick of things which is not ideal, but Tiergarten was just a few steps away so that provided a nice refuge from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. This is not a serene location if that is what you are looking for. "Good spot. Breakfast is great! Convenient check in options for check in after reception hours. No 24/7 front desk. Didn't have a kettle or silverware in the room but ot was no problem getting some from the staff. Very friendly!
The pillows were pretty bad, super soft with feathers and no other options in the room. Pillows and the two single mattresses instead of one big one would be my only complaint. But also standard for Germany and personal preference."

"We stopped overnight here and stayed in the guest house which is located a short stroll from the main hotel. The guest house is more like a motel type room lacking character but was fine for the in einem night. The actual hotel is located by the dam and it was lovely to sit out and drink a beer by the side of it. We also walked into nearby Feldberg an der around the half island which was interesting. The restaurant food and also breakfast was tasty with good choices."
