Place is on the upswing.
It's warn, but speaking to the desk they are in the midst of an entire rehab. Must say the bed I had was great. They have a cover sheet, then the blanket, then another sheet like you would find sometimes in a $200+ room. Very impressed with that touch. Will be back on my return in April.
Arrived at property and noticed there weren’t many vehicles, but people hanging out in parking lot — pool was the color of swamp water and looked similar to the swamps in Louisiana — the person working desk walked us to our room and before we walked through hallway doorway to where the guest rooms are, it smelled terrible— when the room was shown to us, it was “creepy”— one bed had a quilt on it, did not match other bed and looked as if someone was living in the room and had decorated (tried to) with the little bit of belongings they had — pictures on wall were not what you’d see in a “hotel” and the miscellaneous “decor” around the room was not hotel “decor” — left hotel, went and looked later that night to check out the area — more individuals were in the parking lot— my son and I watched a drug deal— and that’s when we LEFT! I had to pay for this reservation and because the time of year and a lot of people in town for competition my son was in, most hotels were booked — FINALLY found somewhere else to stay — was late and had my 16 year old and 9 month old with me! ALWAYS READ EVERY REVIEW BEFORE BOOKING — have pictures that I took; NOTHING like pictures posted online. I SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED A FULL REFUND FOR THIS BOOKING!!!! DISGUSTING (polite way to describe this place) AND VERY SKETCHY
My stay was horrible. There were bugs in our room, we paid for a smoking king size with a pull out couch and didn't get that we only got a king size room without the pullout. The there wasn't even a power cord plugged into the cable box, and we complained to the manager but she simply said here was nothing they could do about it. The door to the room did not shut properly and could be accessed without a key card by pushing on the door with little effort. We asked for extra towels and pillows to be in the room and they're was no extras. There were multiple holes all over the walls and the carpet was ripped away from the wall. The only thing that worked right in the room was the toilet and shower. I was very I satisfied with my stay and asked for my money back but was told they don't do refunds and said if I was unhappy that I could have gone somewhere else. I am the wife of a Ssgt in the U.S Air Force and this was highly unacceptable and rude. I would not stay here again ever and would never recommend it to anyone. I lost my money and now there's no way to get it back. Also we found out when we got there we had to pay $67.30 for our room but they gave the same room to someone while I as checking out for $45.30, why were we charged so much more for such deplorable conditions.
Pic online weren't very accurate. I wouldn't have stayed if I had another option! Hotel wasn't labeled with sign nor st address. Wifi was very spotty. Tv was very out dated. I couldn't hook up any of my accessories. Phone in room didn't work. Smell in room wasn't very pleasant. I will not stay at this hotel again
The pictures are outdated. We was going to leave. Tax eviction notice on both doors..Pool not operational. We receive upgrade to a remodeled room. This hotel has a long way to go...
Rotten smell in whole place holes in walls and doors in halls and rooms pool has 2 ft of black stinky water in it how it has 2 stars is incredible !!! Unless your homeless recommend staying away your better off sleeping in your car or a tent !!!
When we pulled up and saw the place from the outside we knew it was going to be bad. The building is in an advanced state of disrepair. I truly don’t think it should be allowed to be open in its current state. The photos online at Expedia are severely out dated and misleading. We had to walk past the pool to get into the office and it was green. The office looked like it was dated back in the 80's and never properly maintained and now it just looks nasty. The hallway to our room smelled musty and of cigarette smoke. The room also smelled this way and it was a non-smoking room. The bathroom floor was weak and felt like you were going to fall through it. I was genuinely scared for my family’s safety staying there and wished I brought my handgun with me for protection. I’ve got 8 years of law enforcement experience dealing with just this type of people that stay at this place. I will not rent from here again.
Understood about 2 star place , but the place has a really bad HUMID and SMOKING SECTION smell.
Even the bed clothes had a terrible smoke smell ..
Carpets and walls , on a terrible conditions.
Pool ? (See photo)
No door key card " sistem problems "
If you need to leave the room ? You need to ask the receptionist to open room door for you .
Ice machine broken
Not feel as a secure place at all , even for one night ( some one knock my door at 2am demanding me to leave because the room was hers )
People were like " dealing drugs"
The hotel was old and run down. When we arrived, there were two people yelling at each other by lobby. People had clothes hanging out of there windows drying. Pool was beyond green. There was no ice machine. Dryer did not work. Tv got one channel. Carpet smelled very bad. Pillow was brown, and the worst pillow i have ever seen. The air worked great and the room was clean. The staff was nice. There was someone repairing things at the hotel.
In all fairness it is being remodeled and we had a remodeled room which was good. The place appears to have suffered from neglect over the past few years but is being renovated. The common areas are in poor condition, but again they are working on it. They will have you sign a sheet listing stuff in the room and what you will be charged it if is stolen -- the problem is it isn't all there in the first place. I was a good thing it was my son with me and not my wife as she would never have stayed, but it was fine. The pool was closed.
This hotel was the worst I have stayed in. The rooms were dirty, there were several doors on the floor we were on that had damage from being kicked in, the staff was incompetent, and they asked to get an imprint of our credit card after we had already paid.
This was the worst hotel I ever stayed in. The room listed in the ad is photoshopped, the beds had bugs, I was given towels balled up straight off the laundry room floor. The Ho-tel looks like a place for crackheads and hookers. Do not book this ho-tel or you will regret it.
Expedia booking listed the property as The Lodge at Pensacola however the hotel is actually an Econo Lodge so it was misrepresented and the overall quality is terrible, the room smelled old and musty and the cheap carpet was damp and sticky. We wanted to walk out but the hour was late so we stayed overnight. There was no soap and the front desk said they were out and none was available. There was no one at the front desk when we went to check out.
I booked two nights at this motel. Not knowing that once I got there it was a run down roach motel. The smell and the filth was awful.I arrived at 1 am in the morning and my two year old was exhausted so I had no choice but to stay the night. I was scared to be in this motel. I think hotel.com should be ashamed to advertise it on there site. I waited in the loddy for 30 min the next day to check out and get my refund for the night I wasn't going to stay. I ended up calling the front desk, which I heard the phone ring and the answering machine pick up. I finally left and ran a errand and came back, still no one at the front desk. I phoned them again and a lady answered and she showed up 10 min later. She said I would get a refund, but I haven't seen anything.
Worst trip ever. They canceled my reservation when I called before I left my residence. Was so upset that they called manager to correct. No room service or maid service or towels. Would not recommend!
It was horrible, the room was filty, hair all in the bathroom, sink, tub and toilet.. There was drug addicts band alcoholics hanging out side talking loud and cursing.. The whole place had an order!!!!
There was no staff overnight. Tried to checkout at
There was no staff overnight. I tried to check out at 6:45 am and there was no one to check out with. The office was closed. There was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom. There was leftover stuff in the dresser from the previous tenant. There was all kinds of toys and clothes under the bed. The was rolled up toilet paper under the sink. I brought these things up with one of the staff shortly after check in then left for dinner. I came back, and the stuff in the dresser was gone and the tissue under the sink was gone as well. But, the stuff under the bed was still there. When I went to find staff to tell them about it AGAIN, they had all left for the night. The room itself was alright. But, I will not be staying there again.
