"We went for one night, arrived early as you can use the facilities before check in, great for a relax and swim.
We ate in the Rampsbeck restaurant, gorgeous food, would definitely recommend.
Breakfast had absolutely everything you can think of, make your own waffles, croissants, granola, cooked breakfast, fresh muffins...great if you have kids that are fussy eaters like mine.
No slippers provided so bring flip flops for spa/pool, not a problem we just didnt realise, we will next time.
Very child and dog friendly
Access to the lake couldn't be more on your doorstep! Some outdoor games available like badminton and a tree swing.
We will be back, as it was honestly one of the best hotels we have stayed at."
"staff are great and i particularly like the fact that the hotel is so accommodating for children .
the child’s gown and treats were appreciated !
will be staying again"
"Road "rough" on lead up to hotel and does need addressing. Couldn't fault staff and quality of food. I travel for business and stay in many hotels and this one is on my returns list."
"Lovely olde worlde pub from 1719. Recently refurbished bedrooms, tastefully decorated. Smallish rooms but that is what you would expect in a property of this age. It had everything you needed. Comfy bed too.
Didn’t try the breakfast because we had to get off early. Sunday lunch the night before was excellent."
"I stay here frequently and it is always a great experience. Friendly, professional staff, excellent food and a great location. I am always happy to introduce friends to the hotel. Of course being able to walk to the farm shop is a bonus."
"The greeting we got on arrival was extremely good, lovely lady who runs The Troutbeck Inn.
Great evening meal also, definitely stay again.
Thank you ."
