"We really enjoyed our stay at this property over a late July weekend! I was in a rush and when I booked our room, I picked a queen size bed instead of a king.. no big deal and we spent the first night on the queen bed.. when we woke up we realized that we definitely needed something bigger.. I went to the front desk and rang the bell for service and that’s when I met the owner Glen.. he was so gracious and very willing to accommodate us.. in fact the night before we had the pleasure of meeting his daughter (Leah I believe) at check in.. again so gracious and a pleasure to talk too.. they are a family run business and are doing such great work updating the hotel, it’s absolutely gorgeous what they have done and the rooms are extremely clean.. I have read some negative reviews and I can only come to one conclusion and that is instead of bringing an issue they might have to the owners attention they would just rather not say anything, deal with it for the rest of their stay then write a bad review after the fact.. the owners can’t help you if you don’t bring a problem to their attention.. we plan on coming back to this area of Maine many more times and we will definitely always stay here… safe, clean and quiet!"
