"We stayed at this property ahead of moving our son into his university dorm. It was a perfect location, easy to get everywhere and a grocery store only a 5 minute walk. There was plenty of room to store our things and we really appreciated the covered car port. The house was very clean and the owners responsive. We would not hesitate to stay here again. My only suggestion to future guests would be to bring some sugar packets if you like it in your coffee :)"

"I was really disappointed with our check in. I came here to celebrate my 50th birthday and we arrived early ahead of check in time and we left our bags behind reception to go to a look around Halifax which was great the receptionist recommended we check or call back around 1.30pm and our room could be ready then. On return at 1.40pm the receptionist (same one throughout our whole ordeal) said we should return at 2.30pm to check if the room was ready. At 2.30pm we returned and the receptionist said the room was still not ready and to return at the actual check in time of 3pm. We returned at 3pm and our room was still not ready, a little disappointed but 3pm was the check in time and the receptionist said to wait in the lobby and she would let us know as soon as the room was ready, I'm still ok at this point as understandable but had been given hope of an early check in and could have stayed in Halifax much longer. At 3.20pm the receptionist (still same one) comes over and says I can check you in now, as we follow her back to the desk she then decides to check somebody else into their room, i cant beleieve how rude after she had left the desk to get us and we followed her to the desk and then just left us there looking like idiots. She eventually checked us in and notified us that the room was in a different wing and the elevator didnt work their and you need to go up a flight of stairs, she did offer assistance for our bags but we didnt feel like an extra hour wait so declined"

"The bedding was basically a thin sheet. One small pillow. Who on earth actually sleeps with a single pillow and a thin sheet? No microwave or TV. A single paper cup in the room. No housekeeping, which is fine, but I would like to get a towel or a bar of soap. There was one small towel and a face cloth, and no soap dish. You have a shared bathroom, so there is nowhere to put your used bar of soap. No elevator, and I was on the fourth floor for my stay. I LIKE using the stairs, but when carrying luggage, for most people, it is a real issue. The 'mattress' was ridiculous; every spring felt like it was pushing through the fabric. No plugs in the rooms were accessible. I had to move furniture to get to a plug. No side table. It felt like prison. I understand that this is student housing, and I was there for a conference, and the price was ok, but basic bedding should be a requirement for any hotel. Also, it is a small thing, but there are 8 buildings in the parking lot. None of them is numbered. So if you try to order food for delivery, none of the drivers can figure out where to go, so you need to go down and outside to meet the driver. "why are you ordering food and bottle of pop or water"? Because, there is no vending, food service or any sort of anywhere to get anything without leaving and getting in a taxi or uber to go somewhere. NOthing. Not even a pop vending machine. "Well, why not walk to the Tim HOrtons"? Because literally everyting is locked up and not open on weekends"
