"Breakfast is not included. The room was clean and standard. Staff was lovely to deal with. Parking is free and lots of availability which is rare in the city!"
Halifax Tower Hotel & Conference Centre, an Ascend Collection Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This is our place to go now. The staff are amazing from the front desk to the kitchen and general manager Nimfa who talked to every single table during the breakfast time to ensure everything was going well. Amazing."
"When we arrived late Friday it smelled clean And looked clean till we woke Saturday and there was Little bugs (picture of just one bug tried to get as close and clear as possible)all over the bathroom/toilet stains or something all over the sheets, leg was broken on the bed they tried to duck tape it together. Toilet top was broken and a big crack going down the side. Staff was easy to deal with checking in. Was nice having the little kitchen."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Halifax - Bedford by IHG
6/10 Okay
"Elevator and pool were out of order. Had to settle with room on main floor. Renovations going on and limiting the “experience”. Had I known that quicker I would have cancelled the reservation. Plenty of parking and staff were trying their best."
"The initial staff that was there at check in was amazing. Such great costumer service and so friendly. The staff that followed her shift was nice as well. The 2 desk staff that followed those shifts were just on their phones their entire shifts trying to hide them quickly when people walked by and weren’t as friendly or helpful. The hotel was under renovation so it wasn’t a pretty site but we were upgraded to a drive up room without asking free of charge which was nice. We found breakfast to be bland and didn’t retain heat in the pans so definitely not the best breakfast we’ve had compared to other comfort inns. At check out there wasn’t a staff to be found for a long time and we were in a rush to get to a competition so we had to hand our keys to the kitchen staff and hope for the best. Our bathroom sink didn’t drain at all. Otherwise I’d say the stay was pretty unremarkable but that first front desk clerk at check out really did have great customer service. "
