"It was on our route and very reasonable compared to other accommodations in the area. The staff were very hospitable and accommodating!"

"The office staff were all very professional and friendly. My visit was due to flooding of my home from the Ohio river. I wasn’t informed until the evening of 4-3 that I needed to evacuate now, as the River was over the bank and would continue flooding the area. I haven’t driven at night time in 6-7 years, so the drive over to the hotel was extremely stressful for me. The hotel allowed my late arrival. One thing I really appreciated, was the way they spaced the hotel guests. We weren’t on top of each other. I was able to park in front of my room which was great. The room was quiet. Only negative : The room—especially the carpeting, needs a really deep cleaning. On the positive side: I booked from Wednesday evening thru Saturday. After finding out the water was receding a day earlier than expected I checked out on Friday morning to get back home to see the damage. I had paid up front and the young lady wasn’t sure if I could get a refund for the day and a half I wouldn’t be there. After waiting less than a week, I was happy that the manager gave me a credit. I will stay at this Travel Lodge in Parkersburg, WV again, as I felt safe, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet. "
