I spent 2 days in the maine hotel and it was a pleasant stay. I was in the studio and the room is spacious, better than lots of nearby hotels. Short stay or longer stay it, either alone or with family, I recommend.

Very friendly staff. Superb location as it is next to a metro to get you to the busy, hectic central Paris area. Montparnasse is so special .... you can feel the great American personalities and authors of the period .... Hemingway, Fitzgerald, etc., .... I prefer the left bank anyway ... nice pleasant ten minute walk to Luxembourg Gardens (my favorite place in Paris to just sit and absorb the beauty of it all). I do feel badly for Paris in general, you see more poor people on the street than previous years, decades.
