"I booked 3 rooms in this hotel for me and my sisters…we asked all 3 rooms to be on the same level and it’s no problem at all for the hotel…we had nice time and all the staff are very friendly and polite. We had a ‘bit’ of confusion at the end of our stay but Ken, the duty manager on the day had explained the confusion and he handled the minor incident very professionally. Thank you, Ken…you are an asset for Jambuluwuk Hotel Malioboro for your outstanding hospitality! All our rooms are clean and always have all the amenities. Nice location as it’s near Malioboro! Highly recomended for all of you who wants to visit Yogyakarta with your family."

"This hotel is in a very strategic location where a lot of expats hang out in the restaurants nearby it is fairly soundproof so the mosque noise doesn't really bother you if you're a decent sleeper unless you're sitting outside on your balcony which is kind of nice it's very pretty it's not perfect by any means of course no hotel is the bed was okay the room service was really good really cheap and again strategic location I would give it a 7.5 out of 10"

"Broken shower which was never fixed over our 4 night stay dispite telling them. A lot of mould. Incredibly spicy traditional breakfast. It’s only saving grace was that the beds were comfortable even though I did have a single duvet in a double duvet cover.. "

"Excellent room and services and excellent staff. Reception staff Tamara was very accommodative of our needs and she even arrange a car with driver for us for a 12 hour trip starting early morning. The staff at the restaurant and the roof top bar were excellent too and provided us our choice of food that were not in the menu. I highly recommend this hotel."

"Issues. The room smell of mould. They advertise a bar and they don’t have one. And after ordering a meal, which was recommended to me by the waiter, 45 minutes later, I was told it did not have that meal. when travelling in Central Java, everybody has to realise that some hotels and many venues do not want to serve alcohol. And I fully respect this. Therefore, when selecting a hotel, I choose one that has a bar and a lounge, or at least one of the above. So this hotel advertises that they have both a bar in the lounge, and they even have it marked in the lifts and elevators if you’re from America. But they have neither The Hotel staff did their best, and even went out of the way to go to a local venue that would sell beer and they could bring it back, but it just is not the same because you don’t want to then open a beer in front of people who obviously don’t want you drinking it. I was choosing between the Novotel and this hotel, and as it happens the Novotel has a bar. What really annoyed me was that the staff member said to me that a lounge did not necessarily mean a bar it was a place that people could lounge Yet on there facilities, there is a martini glass. Putting aside the fact that a bar and a lounge means that there is alcohol to be had, a martini glass is an absolute admission that this should be on site. Bottom line. Don’t advertise that you have a bar if you don’t. I feel very generous in, not giving you a more scathing review."
