Staff were friendly and the place was clean. There were no bugs inside. It is also quiet. The whole place was very dark though at all times. I had to use phone flashlight to enter the room. If you like your weed this is a good place.
Was absolutely what i needed. Basics and no headaches. I enjoyed the staff as they were polite and attentive to my needs. Will stay here again if i am in the area.
Was ok was not inside much remember first day got there went got comfortable layed down started inching dude tell me late that there bedbugs there was dirty man can't sleep at all I couldn't be in kitchen 8-5 but everybody else was not recommended again
Great value! I got my own room and the basics. I was able to get in despite arriving later than planned thanks to a helpful on site manager. It's about 25 minutes from Indian Wells if you're considering it for the tennis tournament. Bathrooms are shared but clean and I was happy with the overall experience.
Recommend earplugs if you're a light sleeper (I had a snorer next door and the private rooms are not noise proof due to incomplete walls).

I would have brought food for the pets.
I really enjoyed the wild hosts. They really come alive at night. I met up with the cat right before leaving and you’d barely recognize it since it looks like skin and bones during the day. At night, it resembles a fat cat without loose skin or rolls. Wish I would have known that there were going to be chickens around. I would have brought food. You also need change for the laundry machines. The place was nice and cozy. I kept to myself. It was in good condition when I arrived. I would have used new mops or t shirts in each room for mopping.
What can I say, this is not a typical hostel for a young traveler when he/she is traveling on a budget, trying to stay safe, in a clean and comfortable space where there’s a sense of community and an opportunity to meet new and interesting people. This is more like a combination of halfway house with low income people where half of guests is either drunk or stoned, some people “volunteer” there for “room and board”, but except for one lady it’s really hard to say what they really do there. The house is a dirty shack, with plywood walls separating rooms, hair and dead bug laying on the shower floor in the bathroom, a pile of dirty dishes sitting in the sink, everything grimy and sticky to touch. Mattresses in the bedroom were still wrapped in plastic, I didn’t feel comfortable using their sheets, so I slept in my own sleeping bag. Expedia also mentioned free breakfast but there was no breakfast. And the cost was high, I expected much higher quality for $65 a night. I could stay in a nice motel for this price. I really don’t recommend this place and I would never stay there again, even if someone paid me.
Small, dirty house (esp. bathrooms) that smells like cat litter & old bed sheets. Cats & loud roosters on property. No door in dorm & you can hear everything going on in room 6.
Beautiful area, and interesting set-up.
Wonderful place to stay.

Took a while to get the entry code, very uncomfortable bunk bed, no lights in hallway, huge cockroach in bathroom, and no light switch in room. Only saving grace was the cute kitty that greeted me ... unfortunately though the other one was eating a baby bird.
This place has a homey vibe I enjoy. The other guests are nice, the cats and chickens are fun to wake up to.
Not perfect, but they are actively improving this hostel, but great prices if you are traveling on a budget.
The staff was very friendly. I liked the improvements to the property since the last time I stayed here 2 years ago. For a hostel in the desert it is very nice.
It was close to our destination. Outside the facility dirty,we didn't get no towels place looks old outdated, there was a roach in our room, bed uncomfortable more like a camping cot

Hen and Kitty house
Best staff included two cats and over eight chickens. They decorated the entry and greeted right away. You wouldn’t recognize them at night. Don’t forget to bring them brand new and sealed food.
I actually left and checked into another hotel as the place felt very unsafe. The owners were arguing. The rooms had no window. I honestly wondered if I would wake up alive in the morning
