"17 year old Hotel, approx 105 rooms, but its good value for the money. Good river views, goid food at the riverside restaurant and very good buffet breakfast. Staff friendly & efficient Room was very big and clean. Bed was goid and soft"

"A great little guest house where the lovely staff make you feel very welcome. I’ve been coming to Pong Phen for 20+ years & watched it evolve from a typical Kanchanaburi backpacker place to the extremely comfortable GH it is now. A huge variety of rooms to suit every budget, a great breakfast included and some of the best food in town - can’t be beaten!! It has a nice quiet setting on the River Kwai, down a lane so no traffic noise, and the most beautiful sunsets over the serene river. Plus in 40C+ the pool was just wonderful…… Thank you to all the staff for their kindness and hospitality on my first solo trip. Hopefully, see you again next year!"

"Room was ok nice clean but no safe and no kettle to make tea or coffee .location ok but you do need a bolt or grab taxi to go places .The rice of a taxi is cheep about £2 £2.50p max"
