Wendy and Phil are wonderful hosts! Great breakfast each day and very lovely room with en-suite bathroom. Gorgeous back deck and pool. Perfect for morning coffee each day. Highly recommend for Paihia area stay!

It’s just a room( mine was in the basement) there is a steep hill to get up to the room. Just a warning if you would like to walk in to town so you don’t have to pay for parking.

We had a lovely stay with Wendy and Phil. The property is well maintained with beautiful views and surroundings. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is generous and delicious. It's a 10-15 minute into the main part of town for dinner with plenty of choices. Plenty of things to see and do nearby as well. We would highly recommend staying here. Thank you Wendy and Phil for having us.

Fantastic stay at a really great B&B. The house is amazing, great views, really enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the wildlife in the evenings. Quiet and peaceful nights sleeping. Hosts are really friendly and welcoming, breakfast is fantastic! Loved our stay there, hope to go back someday!

Spacious room, very confortable stay and breakfast was lovely. The drive is on an incline so it was tricky to park on arrival, but there is an option to park just outside the property (not on a steep hill) if needed.

Hidden gem in Bay of islands!

Thanks Phil and Wendy for two relaxing nights! After five weeks going around New Zealand this was exactly what we were looking for! Decks of Paihia is the best b&b I've stayed in. A feeling of luxourius hotel but a very nice personal stay thanks to Pihl and Wendy. Calm and quiet sorrundings. A true hidden gem in the bay of islands! If we return to NZ we will definitely stay here again!

Super Hosts

The property is at a height and is very posh. The breakfast was out of the world. The best part is when we said we are vegetarian, Wendy offered us to make a delicious gourmet dish for us which included fresh mushrooms, tomatoes, asparagus, all from their farm. The fresh fruits included strawberry from their farm. It was an ultimate farm to table experience. Cannot ever forget the raspberry friands which Wendy had prepared. The breakfast spread was super. Thanks a lot to Phil for waiting for us till late in night as our flight was rescheduled. Thanks to both of you Super hosts, we enjoyed the stay at lot.

Wendy and Phil are excellent host. Love the property and it’s amenities. It is very quiet and I would stay there again, especially at the end of a trip to wind down. But highly recommend it no matter where in your trip.

Its a wonderful and very tidy place, nice views and overall it was a good experience staying here, was just missing on tiny things, such as a microwave that can be shared and used by the tenants.
