Room we booked had sliding doors that didn’t lock properly so worth checking when you arrive - it’s a safe place so no big deal but, the staff could not have been nicer and moved us to another bigger room which had functioning locks. We chose the room because it was spacious but the double bed was uncomfortably firm and the paint work was in poor condition.The toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall. I'm only griping because it was very expensive! The stay overall was ok and Paihia and Cape Reinga were fab. The people running it were very friendly.

I stayed in room #309. Very large with a wrap around balcony, with a glimpse of the bay. It was very nice and clean. The only negative is the bed coverings need a wash. (Not sheets) The room smelled very musty. Other than that I would highly recommend the hotel. Friendly staff too!
