Ornos Bay is the closest beach to the town of Mykonos. Hotels surround the bay, there are plenty of dining and entertainment options along the foreshore and the beach is one of the most idyllic on the island. This popular, family-friendly beach is an excellent spot to base yourself while on the island. Ornos Bay is one of the safest swimming beaches on Mykonos. The water is relatively shallow and the bay is protected on both sides by cliffs and buildings, so there is little wind or swell at the shoreline.
