The staff at the front desk was always helpful and friendly. The property itself was neat and clean, tidy rooms and living areas, a really comfortable stay. In my opinion, there were a few small items in my room that should have been reviewed by management for maintenance before occupancy by guests - these things were obvious. All together, the ambiance of Oak Plantation is pleasant and I also enjoyed seeing the wildlife such as the peacocks and squirrels.

Years ago this property was very nice, but it has really gone down hill. Property is a mess, housekeeping was basically non existent, rooms dirty,, key cards did not work. They kept reprogramming them but would only work sporadically. I actually seen someone having their child crawl through a window to open the door. Once again the hot tub was closed, and only one pool was open. By our third day all pools were closed, they did manage to get one open after a couple days. I haven’t seen 19 inch tube TVs in 30 years but oak plantation has them. If you just want a place to sleep it’s okay. Other then that stay away.

Worse place ever, worse reaction ever see from the management office and the manager herself when we had delay in check in, her exact word “. Heck in posted online STARTS after 4 pm, can be until midnight” be careful where you are staying. Clean towels they throw it in a bag at the entrance. Microwave doesn’t work, we stayed 6 days and was not fixed, laundry machine does not work. Place is very dirty, bugs and cockroaches everywhere. Very noisy place all night. VERY VERY VERY BAD AS A PLACE AND AS A MANAGEMENT.

Units were clean and tidy. Furniture and carpets were old but well maintained. Hoisekeeping was amazing as was customer service. Lots of room and a comfy home like feel. Great deal for the price.

Close to the parks
Had to request another room as the pull out couch bed was in terrible condition: stains and tears, springs protruding.The one in the new room wasn’t much better, had to go and buy a bed foam from Walmart. Resort cleaning starts very early with gas powered equipment: leaf blowers. Rooms seemed somewhat updated, no flooring, just painted concrete with some area rugs... If you plan on cooking breakfasts - grab a decent frying pan at Walmart.

The first room they gave us had bugs on the counter. The Dresser was all broke up we have photos we told them about it the first night the next morning We made them move us to a new room. Non of the help spoke English the second room was not that clean, House keeping came to mop the room with dirty bucket of water. Talked to a lot of people there with the same complainants. I don't think we would every go back.

It’s was dirty and smelled very musty. Cabinets were not clean i think it’s had poop dropping! Everything was outdated and broken. Dryer did not work at all.

The resort is OK. When we arrived, they didn't have the Junior Suite that we had booked. They quickly upgraded us to a larger room with a loft, at no charge. Not much of an upgrade. While the room was larger, it was in desperate need of an update. There was a giant hole in the carpet, microwave front was broke, but still worked, furniture was old and worn, bed was old and needs a new mattress, bathroom door doesn't close, bathtub/shower squeaks with every movement. Pictures on Expedia are misleading compared to seeing the room in person. While it wasn't a bad experience, we just expected a little more, based on pictures used to represent the resort. We didn't use any of the many amenities offered at the resort because we were busy playing at the Universal Studios parks. While the location is just a block off a busy street, it is surrounded by trees, so there is little street noise. Based off the condition of our room, I would give the resort 1 1/2 to 2 stars. Based off customer service, 4 1/2 stars. If they renovated and upgraded the carpet and furnishings, I would definitely stay there again. Convenient location between Disney World and Universal Studios.

Love the place because I use to have timeshares there but the outside and inside needs updating. Had to request for hand towels, body towels and bedding for bed couch.

One time stay only
We visit Orlando very frequently and was looking for a different place to stay this time. On the website the place looks really nice and updated. However, the place is old, musty and dusty. Parking lot is very dark at night. No light leading to our unit which was in the back where we had to walk down a dark corridor to get to our unit. I would prob never stay there again.

The whole property was peaceful and comfortable. The only problem was with Hotels.com. I needed to extend my stay 1 night and they were rude and would not let me. I never had a problem with this before but now i see that hotels.com is not a good site at all!

Ive been here 3 times. I wont be going back again for a few reasons. I paid for housekeeping and had to ask each day for fresh towels..on the 3rd day i decided to just wash them in the laundry room with my clothes, my own detergent and dry them and re-use. I had to ask 3 times for a playpen evn though i ordered it 2 months before. The Jacuzzi wasn't working at all even though numerous guests complained. A guy came with his little boy about 12yrs old. looked it over, fiddled with things then left. This place used to be cool but now it's falling apart. The barender was AWESOME. his name is Eddie andhe deserves a raise. The Cleaning staff also were good as they provided me with my own vacuum to cean since housekeepnig couldn't get to me....DON'T pay the extra for housekepping as youll be doing it yourself!

For the third year in a row the hot tub was broken on our visit and the second pool was green with algae and not working. This will be our last stay of the property does not get worked on. We will check it out via friends in the areA before we book again. Very sad cause it’s. Nice place just run down badly

Positives: It was quiet and and the room was relatively clean. Negatives: grounds are not really well cared for. Lot of dead branches need to be pruned, cobwebs etc in stairways and access ways between buildings. Linens were provided but not really in abundance. Not much in the way of an extra sheet or blanket. Rooms need a bit of a sprucing up, some lights don’t work, chipped/faded paint etc.

Ant infestation in the first room, drain clogged with hair, maintenance man removed an entire head full from the drain and tried to remove ants. After 1 night with ants still invading got moved to another room where the locking mechanism didn’t work. Had to have maintenance man come again to make sure we didn’t get killed by an Amber Gieger type. Went down to the pool area and hot tub was ice cold. Maintenance man tried to fix it with no luck. Could not wait to leave. Zero stars.

A year and a half ago we stayed in a more or less renovated room and we had a very pleasant stay , my review was 5 stars. Fast forward to now November 2019 and we were given a very smelly room , carpet was nasty I prohibit my kids to walk without sandals and bathroom hygiene was awful. I was upset because I felt like the place had run down . We let the front desk know about our situation and we were changed to a very renovated room, can’t deny they move fast to accommodate you . The new room was Veery comfortable and clean . Hope the owner invest in

Stay was Ok.. Except i got charged for 2 extra nights. Have been calling the hotel for over a month to get this handled but they just give me the run around every time. Nobody has been any help at all. I've now had to call my bank and report it as Fraud. They probably do this all the time hoping people don't notice.

The property is very dated. We were missing all the washcloths, hand towels and bath mats in our villa. Woke up to ants on the counter after we left a prepackaged breakfast muffin out on the counter. Planned to wash our laundry in the villa before we checked out, however we had to drive home with wet laundry because the dryer was broken. Something in the refrigerator was leaking on the inside because our bag of leftover food was full of water after being in the fridge overnight. Toilet didn't flush properly, and we had to plunge it ourselves.

Horrible! Dirty, light switches didn't work, mattress felt like I was sleeping on the floor from how thin it was, bed sheets had holes in them, and had to call front desk 3 times before they provided us with towels and pillow cases

I will start with the not so good. The property entry is dark and no signs, a bit rundown and outdated apartment. Looked out twice from our apartment, first time waited for one hour. The security guy needed to go threw the window to let us in, luckily was unlocked. Next day had to ask to look and changed the box. Second time the cleaners let us in. The mattress was old and you could feel the spinning. The good part, our apartment was was clean with regular housekeeping. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is close to everything. We think the price is accurate for the quality. We are been out basically all day. We would give 3.5-4 star out of five .

When we arrived there was only enough towels for 2 people and I had 7. We were in 1608 the first day put clothes in washer went to dry them dryer over heated. Called front desk they told me to go across the lot for where I could dry my clothes. I said no I paid for one In my unit. So my husband arrived that day. He said they sent a older gentleman with a dry. My husband helped carry it upstairs. They need to hire or have a couple people who speak English on there housekeeping staff. I asked where to put my trash she handed me 2 trash bags. Said I don’t understand. Everyday had to call to get towels. The tv in guest bedroom didn’t work. Tv in master bedroom was just hanging there. This place could be a nice place but needs updated. A overhaul of staff memebers. I managed property so I know what problems you can run into. But don’t rent units if they are not properly equipped. Pots and pans I bought myself cause there wasn’t any.

Good family hotel
We stayed in a suite with two bedrooms, laundry room and kitchen. Wonderful people worked there and were very kind when i needed to double back and get my key rekeyed after not working for me. And got us a new can opener however they did take a couple hours so by the time we got the can opener, we did not need it since my husband was already at the store picking up last minute stuff and got us a new one for our house so i was able to finish cooking dinner. The beds were comfortable, the table was set for 6 when we checked in, that was great! One out of two pools were working and the hot tub’s water heater was broken due to being struck by lightning. But we were still able to enjoy the other pool so my two children were fine with that.

Scenic
The property is somewhat dated. The scenic views on the grounds makes up for the aging. The facilities are nice and quaint, not too big or too small. The grounds are so relaxing with scenic trails and forestry.
