We had a mall attached to the hotel and a boat service from hotel to private island. This was the highlight of this property. The island had cooling breezes, lots of lounge chairs, good food and drinks but the highlight is the roaming flamingos. The hotel pool was also lovely

My partner and I had such a wonderful stay in Aruba. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, making our trip feel special from start to finish. The private island is absolutely amazing and a must-experience; peaceful, beautiful, and truly unique. Aruba itself is pure joy with its very kind people and warm atmosphere. The staff is unbelievable. We asked them the littlest of a hand cream, for a late checkout, a paper cup. Everything was done within minutes. Everyone is just so friendly and helpful. Renaissance itself is beautiful, clean. Every day was a very beautiful happy day. There are so many places to eat in walking distance and for shopping. Their private island is awesome. The boat ride is fun to get there.

The resort / hotel was well kept and the staff was great & the boat to the private island was convenient (go early to secure a shaded hut / chairs). If I had to leave a few critiques or suggestions on improvements, I would say the pool area where we stayed was a bit small and the check in process / customer service was a bit slow. Also, if you wished to use the gym you had to go to their other resort across the road. Shops are very close and some very good restaurants were within walking distance (felt very safe).

So the main reason I booked at this hotel was for the easy access to Renaissance Island. Was it worth it? Yes and no. The island was idyllic and I would be very happy to visit again, but I would buy a day pass and stay somewhere else. The room looked nice and modern and had nice amenities, the bed was comfortable, but the noise level was abominable. I had a room facing the central atrium which seems to act as a noise funnel and all the sounds from the main lobby was audible all through the night. You could hear everything in the corridor as well. Doesn’t make for a restful or relaxing stay. The front desk at check-in and check-out were friendly and helpful. Some of the staff in the bar were a bit standoffish though. The downstairs concierge desk where you leave your luggage was a bit of a joke, as it was almost always unmanned, so you spend ages just waiting there. Overall, for the price you are spending it was disappointing. Oh and on top of your room rate there is an additional significant resort rate per night, which I don’t think was made clear when booking. Not good enough is my verdict.

Everything was great at the resort. We had a wonderful time. If you want to get chairs by the pool or by the lagoon, you better get up really really early because people tag the chairs and then go back to their rooms and go to sleep. So get up early tag your chair and maybe fall asleep in it but other than that it was a wonderful day. Cheers to Adam in the front who is the man who took care of everything.

The hotel is nice, excellent location for dining options and shopping. The only downside side is that there are limited activities and although they have a private island there is no direct access to a beach from the adult side. You must take a boat to the island to enjoy the amazing beach.
