Great property and special treatment if you book thru Expedia. Staff was super friendly and attentive. The only thing it didn’t work really great for us was WiFi! Other than that! We are definitely booking with them again ( we stayed in two different Krystal’s hotels ) both were great

Pros: Location - beach is nice; walking distance to Bucerias Pools - variety Altitude perks - if you book with Expedia you check in at Altitude and get access to that room as well as pre book all your a la cartes. Room view - the main hotel has stunning views of the entire property. Hot showers - every time Felt safe on resort and off Friendly staff (adult pool bartenders and waiters were awesome) Clean resort - they are ALWAYS cleaning and doing some sort of maintenance to keep the resort up Nighttime shows - very good, especially MJ and the Fire Show Beach access Matched reviews; got what we paid for Cleaned rooms everyday Stock mini fridge daily Cons (and they aren't issues that would prevent us from returning to Krystal Grand) Not enough sun chairs with umbrellas and in adult pool; people would reserve them so early and not be there for hours A La Carte Restaurants - not that great Beds awful - double beds and wouldn't use the sofa bed for our son as it was not well kept. No boiling water for tea - I drink tea and not once did I find hot boiling water No ice cream, popsicle or gelato for kids Not enough seats for entertainment - no specific area except in pool court yard No evening atmosphere - no where to sit/cards/visiting; lack of seating in lobby or anywhere else after supper to have drinks or play cards, etc. Sky Bar - needs an update and to be more inviting Game room restrictions - 14 year old couldn't sign out a ball without an adult

While this resort did have a nice adults only pool & the ground were kept up well…we really did not enjoy the food, entertainment, or overall vibe of staff interactions. We did find certain bartenders who were great so I would like to credit those who at least smiled. My previous resort stays in Mexico all felt very welcoming. However this time the person checking us in was on her phone the entire time, no welcome drink, and almost no explanation of the grounds of the establishment. Buffet food was very mediocre. The first day we felt concerted the food had been left out for a long period of time or reheated. Unfortunately one of the people in our group got very sick from dinner on our last night from one of the restaurants. We did have a fun experience overall, but would probably spend a bit more next time to stay in a better location. Some positives: If you book through Expedia, you were able to make dinner reservations for the following day while others have to wait in line day-of to make reservations. The pool was great and the swim up pool bar was inviting. The rooftop bar was a great late night spot for drinks and socialization—it did however smell?

Towels are dingy and they stink, shower had constant leak , safe was corroded and needed a battery that took almost an hour to get, the property overall is NOT what it used to be back in 2019 or before , the place is run down . Service is bad and no one really cares much to give on time service. Waiters are few and only one server at the beach . I will never go back !

My room looked nothing like the pics. I would rate it 2/5. Dining is horrible. They need a better process for making reservations. Getting in line at 6am and concierge doesn’t get to the desk at 8am and still not able to get a reservation is INSANE! Staff was friendly. They will try and get you to attend a timeshare presentation for 90 mins for a free couples massage. We didn’t travel all the way to Mexico to be pressured into buying a timeshare so we declined each time we were approached. Overall rating 3/5 (and that’s me being very generous with the 3). The property itself is beautiful, but I wouldn’t stay here again nor recommend.

Spent seven days and had a great time. The service at the lobby and front desk was different. Once we figured out to go through the PV Room (1st floor) for all our needs including our dinner reservations things went much smoother. The adult pool was BEAUTIFUL but plan on being at the pool no later than 8 am if you want a chair. It was frustrating to have chairs with towels on them set empty all day. It’s clearly posted that chairs cant be reserved for more than 30 or 45 minutes but not at all enforced.

The resort is okay for the cost. It seem like they have too many rules in the resort. They charge for room service, although it's an ALL-Inclusive place. If your Room key gets lost they willl charge you that fee fee for a new one. I would not go back but the resort over all is not bad if you want to deal with the nonsense fees and lack of service.

The grounds were nice, the pool area pleasent and the beach front was good. The room was spacious, however we smelled a bad stench of sewer every night. It seemed that in the evenings the sewage pump might have been turned off and the smell went back up through the AC vents. Our room was directly below the sky bar and I went up there and there's actually a sewage vent with the same horrible smell. During the day everything was fine. I asked to move a couple of times and they just didn't do anything about it. Food was ok and the Italian place was good. With the exception of the recreational crew. Wifi was pretty bad and cell service in the area was spotty. I would not recommend going there... This was our 4th time in PV and this place really disappointed us.

Loved the pool. Big pool area. Beach was awesome with perfect waves for boogie boarding. Nice rooms. Loved the shower and view from the room. All the restaurants were very good except for the Buffet. Seemed to be pretty much the same choices every day and wasn’t a selection my family and I enjoyed. Wish they had more bartenders working at one time. The wait time in the line up was very long at times. Felt bad for the employee that had to remove people’s towels, pool gear from the seats around the pool when trying to reserve spots in the shade. Heard so many visitors either arguing with the employee that moved their stuff or accusing other visitors for stealing their spot when they actually didn’t.

The staff really made it special. Rafael, Cesar, and Eduardo were exceptional. It’s an easy 40 min walk to Bucerias. I really enjoyed the dinners with our friends. The afternoon hot lunches were awesome by the adult pool. We had a great time. If you’re looking for a medium resort that you can bring teens to this was perfect for our group that had 6 teen girls. They had an amazing time drinking non-alcoholic Miami Vice and Apple Fiz

Group of 3 families, so 6 adults with 6 girls ranging fron 10-16. Food was great, local shopping 15mins down the beach. Horseback riding on the beach. Epic trip. Cesar in entertainment doesn't sleep, he would pop up everywhere making our trip special. Rooms were clean and with the beach or pool view upgrade the rooms had a pull out bed from the couch which helped when our 2 daughters needed some space. Hot tips, any credit card size card can sit in the room entry card holder which turns the a/c and room lights on. If you booked Expedia the altitude room has cold beer in the fridge and pour your own specialty coffee bar, and lastly and most important. The switch on the top of the sliding door controls the a/c on/off control. Make sure the switch is aligned with the top of the door or it will be a hot night of sleep. Great trip and perfect weather.

Overall a great resort. My only criticism is the lacking nighttime entertainment and areas to congregate. Also, the rec room.only allows for 13-18 and then there is the daycare with activoties for very small kids only..My 12 year old wasnt allowed to use air hockey or ping pong. Nor were adults allowed access ubtil after 9pm and then only until 11.

My wife and I stayed 9 days and enjoyed everyday. Property is extremely easy to get around with access to food everywhere. Staff was always pleasant and willing to assist you.

Check in process was ok no issues there……but during the day I was in and out of the room but when it was time to go to bed once I lifted the blanket the sheets were super dirty I called front desk to get service and it took 2 hours it seemed as soon I contacted Expedia they sent someone in the next 20 mins which is sad. There was an open bottle of water in the fridge so always check your water. I had a swim up room the swim up was nice buts right next to the stairs of first going up and down and shaded as well blocking the sun from hearing the pool up as well. There was also so much noise like someone was moving a chair across their room every hour or so. The food I got to say is horrible out of 3/4 of the restaurants I went to, just go to the buffet it was better there even though it’s not a lot of options. The alcohol which is part of all inclusive sucks lol just bring your own bottle of what you prefer which I also did as well but you get what you paid for. And it must have been spring break because kids were everywhereeeeeee except the sky bar, don’t get me wrong I love the kids but I think I must’ve came at the wrong time. When it came to getting towels by the infinity pool it took almost 45 mins to get and soon as I asked to speak with a manager I immediately was able to get a towel because the guy was like I will just go get it for you smh. Overall the property is beautiful but double check your beds and fridge. If you barely got tastebuds then this place is for you cu

Just returned home yesterday, food was fantastic and the overall atmosphere very relaxing, the take a bite coffee shop was great. Enjoyed the sports lounge and the sky bar, had a few delicious meals at the ala carte restaurants. Really like how they make sure no guests are chair hoarding by the pool or on the beach for the day and not using them. The only hiccups were with the room linens (towels, face clothes, etc) being supplied and the buffet running low on some items during peak times. Neither of which are a huge deal, and were quickly dealt with once we asked a staff member for help. Special thanks to Jesus in the Sky bar, Luis on the beach service team, Marco for always making sure everything is all right, Guadalupe for the tasty omelets, America and Ester for the fun dining experience, Samuel for the excellent service during dinner and all of the staff for the great time. See you next year!

The resort was a very nice size with enough to do. Beach was excellent for playing in the waves and for children to play . The teen or games room could use some equipment maintenance but was nice to have. 2 things that could use some attention : buffet could use some more of the white chairs and the Grill servjce was extremely slow for everyone in our group on various nights.Others made sane comment Food selection in all areas was really good especially for the size of the resort. Expedia staff were wonderful . We would come again.

The staff work so hard and the grounds are immaculate! The pools are fabulous; esp the infinity adult pool. The food gets boring after awhile, but I wasn’t going for the food! The hot sun and sand was a perfect vacation and I would come back again

We liked the grounds and view from our room. The buffet for the most part had good variety. Lots of fresh veg and fruit. The Japanese Restaurant and Italian were our favorite A La Cartes. The staff was very friendly. Marco on the beach was awesome. The lobby desperately needs an update! Very few places to sit and old, uncomfortable furniture in the lobby. Also, need more umbrellas on the beach.
