"Nice stay"

"We had a lovely stay at Lockton Cottage, it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The welcome goodies were a great touch, and we really appreciated the tea, milk etc..after our long journey. We would definitely stay again."

"This cottage has a really nice vibe very clean and ideally situated for visiting Thirsk and the local communities. The market square is a few short steps away The railway station is a pleasant 30 minutes walk away, but it does have a bus service if the weather is not too good The cottage is spread over 3 storeys and is modern kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor and sitting/living room is 1st floor and bedroom top floor. "Exceptionally clean. Excellent views over Whitby from top floor. Good power shower (bring you own showergel) Well equipped kitchen with microwave and fridge, kettle and dishwasher. Up some steep steps. Stand facing Riverside fish and chips and steps on your right. Recommended as long as you are able-bodied."

"The listing said free on site parking. There wasn’t. We couldn’t get into the property and we couldn’t get in touch with anyone. The only reason we managed to get in was due to chance, a local lady stopped and mentioned a cottage agent near by that might help in which they did. The place its self was as described."

"Parking directly outside, shops 5 min walk away. A minor property fault was fixed straight away by owner. Very nice bedroom which had a lot of light leakage but was much quieter than reviews led me to expect. A cosy cottage which had all we needed for our 2 night stay."

"As always, excellent stay for whitby and moors."

"Only thing wrong was we didn’t stay long enough. We loved this little cottage. It’s a beautiful little home away from home. Whitby was fantastic as well. Wish we’d known ahead of time how much we would love it so we could have booked a longer stay."

"The check-in / key collection was good, location was good. The facilities inside were poor, shower over the bath was non-existent. Walls needed repainting. Most things tired and need replacing."

"A small table and two chairs should be in the property"

"Wonderful cottage close to Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. Really cosy, spacious property great for families. Lovely log burner for winter nights. In a picturesque hamlet that is a 10 minute drive to the centre of Whitby. Wonderful views from the kitchen and great for star gazing from the skylight on the third floor. "

"Enjoyed the location of the property, lovely and quiet. Property very clean and well kept"
