"They were starting to refurbish the property 4 days after our stay, so our critique would not be fair."

"Room was clean and nice enough. Huge whole in the wall behind the door from the door handle that could easily be fixed. Breakfast was free so can’t complain too much but gravy was cold and had to be warmed up in the microwave. Pictures showed a hot tub but it was no longer there."

"Breakfast was ok, and yes there was adequate parking. I think that property owners are not doing their job. The towels, the plumbing, scent in the corridors and etc. I know that it’s relatively inexpensive but if you’re putting your name on a property, it should meet a standard. The Carpenter does not even meet an average standard. Would not recommend. I would not recommend it as a job opportunity, you can’t do a good job if your corporation doesn’t care. "

"I booked the presidential suite. One small trash can in the whole place. Then opened the closet and there was a hole the size of my fist. Every time you close and open the bathroom door it would get stopped by the ironing board(this was the cause of the hole in the wall) which made I’d hard for a big guy to get out of the bathroom without yelling for help. Great location just not very well maintained for a downtown hotel. Paid a lot extra for the Presidential room but never again it wasn’t worth it. It was room number 200."

"The breakfast was ok. The pancake machine made more of a skidmark than a pancake. The oatmeal was instant and the yogurt was not low in stock. The room had a nasty smell to it like it was unclean. We paid to have a room that slept 6 and the fold out couch was so bad that we could not use it hardly as a couch let alone a place to sleep. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and the bathroom tiles had no grout and the light above the sink was out. We had to track someone down for towels and the pool area was dirty. The hot tub did not work. It was dirty and the jets did not work. The water had stuff floating in it. Overall, I would not recommend this property."
